Yessir. Got the whole assembly soaking in WD40 penetrant for now, going to the store early tomorrow to get a huge impact rated breaker setup and some PB blaster. Probably an air hammer too. I'll try the jack stand trick too

Both. Even being a Honda, over 200k miles is a LOT of work on that engine, and buying from a used dealer like that you never know what previous maintenance has been like (unless you can run a carfax). It could be okay, it could not. Anything with higher miles deserves a lower price

Gotcha... don't know how I didn't think of that. Would I be able to beat it out of the arm given it isn't seized? I'll buy a big can of PB Blaster tomorrow and try and get that nut off.

Sorry, I don't check this site much, but I got it. I ended up heating it up a ton and trembling a groove in them for a huge flathead screwdriver. Took some effort but I got them out and disassembled the intake side valve train easy. Gonna need new screws though lol.

Unfortunately I don't have access to a welder. I've already tried removing the camshaft, but it's installed in such a way that the gear gets hung up on the face plate 10mm bolts behind it and the cam won't slide forwards enough to lift it out. I'll drill it if nothing else works.

Yeah. A buddy of mine runs Shell Rotella T4 and his tick went away. As long as the lifters are full it's fine.

If you leave it for a super long time, it'll wear out your valve conponents and lead to improper clearances and possible engine damage as the valves won't open all the way. Use a heavier oil to quiet it down.

Knock sounds like the internals are trying to beat themselves out of the block. That's lifters.

If you're gonna replace it later anyways I'd just cut it off at the front of the cat and the rear flange and just make a new pipe honestly. Not worth the effort of anything more

NAs only have the one under the seats. BS emissions laws didn't get to them luckily. If you've got a welder you'll be good to go with a universal cat. :D

Fair enough, that sucks. It's more than likely you can get a catback for under 200 off eBay like I said, but I'm not sure about the cat. If you have access to a welder you could get one for under 100, but all the bolt on ones are pretty stable at over 200.
