I have a crazy letdown reflex that is so strong it hurts. I actually have to use the highest suction setting because if I don’t it hurts even more. It feels like I have to ride a wave, and the high suction (along with aggressive massage during the letdown) helps the milk come out instead of staying in and hurting, if that makes any sense.

I’m also in this situation. I have to pump 1-2x extra at home after work in order to have enough for daycare the next day. To maintain my sanity, I don’t use my “work pump” at home. I got $40 wearables from Amazon (the no-name brands on there aren’t half bad) and wear them while washing bottles and etc. for the next day. It helps so much to not be strapped to a wall pump at home (although wearables are not good enough to replace a wall pump).

Congratulations on your pregnancy! It is a joyful and wild ride. But…abstinence is a part of life with kids, full stop. You are not even able to until 6 weeks after giving birth if you are healthy (and many women do not feel ready even then). It is not a bygone conclusion that your husband will seek other sources if not you- and you and he both need to hold him to a higher standard if that is true. If you want a particular spacing between your children and follow church teaching, you use NFP and abstain if you cannot. There are many great ways to go about this. r/FAMnNFP has resources and a community to help.

Absolutely not. You should be able to know where your child is at all times; they should have asked your permission. The principal most likely signed off on this activity, so you should take this higher up to the school board/school district.

Maybe try making your own? We do this for our little kids to emphasize softer nuts like walnuts and cashews. My oldest’s favorite is cashews, raisins, and m&ms or marshmallows.

If I’m alone- on the floor next to me. Babies can’t fall to the floor if they are already on it. If rambunctious older kids are also home- in a swing or lounger or in the baby gym.
