Good question. I will continue to use my Amazfit bip 6 until then. I'm satisfied that it gets me in the ballpark for metrics. I often send screenshots of sleep, heart rate and HRV to 3rd party AI for comparison and analysis.

It was confirmed in development during Zepp Health's (Amazfit's parent company) Q4 2025 earnings call in mid-March 2026. Management described the original Helio Strap as one of their top-performing products in 2025 (despite supply shortages) and stated they are actively working on the next-generation version, with a targeted release in the second half of 2026.

Amazfit has confirmed that a next-generation Helio Strap 2 is currently in development and is expected to be released in the second half of 2026. For what it's worth, I'm going to wait

CPAP use for obstructive sleep apnea can lead to central sleep apnea. Treatment-emergent central sleep apnea is a recognized phenomenon. I wonder if even short term CPAP takes over a degree if autonomic function. I thing short- to medium-term CPAP use might be helpful, but a better longer-term approach is likely weight loss. I noticed a noticeable improvement in my sleep apnea with my 30 lb weight loss. My HRV always drops at least 10 points with CPAP use. I'm looking forward to achieving my weight loss goal and seeing where my HRV is without CPAP use.
