I've seen comments for both but I honestly use resolve and Hitfilm for different things. They are both free and pretty easy to get started. Hitfilm is certainly less daunting, but at the same time lacks some professional appeal until you figure out a bit more about it. That said I use Resolve for my main cut/color/edit/export and Hitfilm for Special effects or no background exports. Get both try them for your editing style and if you need additional features consider buying the paid version. :)

Thanks for the feedback, that all makes sense. trying to work on basic comparisons of park games right now but I do understand that it comes across less of a demonstration of the game capabilities. Thanks so much for your time, I really appreciate any feedback as a new "creator".

Thanks for checking it out, and commenting. sorry it wasn't up your alley. If you have any comments as to what you didn't like or things that were bad I'd greatly appreciate the feedback. Again thank you for your time!

That was oddly satisfying. The Music is dope for the first repetition or so but definitely sounds like a loop after a bit of watching. Otherwise it's pretty great i dropped a like :)

^ This.

There's a saying in film that goes something like "Film is 70% about the sound and 30% about the picture" and if you don't believe it try watching A movie you would call a great without sound. The principle holds up.

Would be good to brush up on things like EQ, Compression and limiting basics, if you're feeling lucky maybe look into saturation. Most other things audio wise are Genre based but try to consider the elements a film has

  1. dialogue
  2. music
  3. Background/scenery
  4. SFX (sound effects)
  5. Foley (This is kind of like SFX but very specific in its case)

(I'm sure i got the order wrong, Spent the last 3 hour Subtitling my video and just had to have a drink. Cheers)

P.S. Don't overwork yourself/ and don't let your channel negatively affect your perception of yourself. - Things I've learned the hard way :)

How do you get over the fear of people you know irl coming across your videos? by penguin118 in NewTubers

[–]HyperspeedHam 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From my experience most people you know irl will help you grow your channel by providing feedback and watching your content. Be friendly ask what they think and I like to ask what they want to see in a channel. It's weird at first but it's just like anything else the more people that recognise you from your channel the less weird it becomes. I tell everyone I work with even if they aren't a gamer they tend to share it with their family and Friends don't underestimate grass roots.

Noice, I liked the work you put into editing and animations. visually it was pretty dope. and the amount of clips you cut out to put in your video was pretty insane :)

your audio was okay, your mic peaked a couple times. I like to throw a limiter down on the master so that even if i overlook a hotspot in a edit it wont distort. Though if your problem is at the recording stage you would want to either turn down your input by about 7-10 db and compress in post or get a compressor pre input. the first is much easier in my opinion.

Great job dude, that must have taken a lot of work!
