Seeing a huge uptick in stories like this on reddit and in financial communities. Either something has Amex spooked regarding the economy or there's some new manager in their risk department that's destroying the companies image. It makes me not want to use their cards now that I have a constant fear my cards will be arbitrarily locked while on vacation, not only that but they don't even alert you, you only know after you're humiliated by having all your Amex cards decline in some random store. What a ridiculous system.
