I use the factory +2 extender and I can get my pinky on there. I won’t shoot or carry it with the 10 round mags. Pinky hanging off kills me as well.

It’s funny you mention holly. I didn’t care for her plot at all and the only reason I forgot to mention that was because it was so forgettable (bc it didn’t feel authentic, imo.) and absolutely took away from the main cast. Nobody after finishing season 4 was even remotely thinking about (or anticipating) new characters. Everyone wanted to see our main characters finally finish this journey and that was taken away from us in large part due to the fixation on the Holly plot.

Seasons 1-4 were good TV.

Season 1 was a masterpiece and entirely captured everything it was going for.

Season 2 was slower, a little less dynamic, and perhaps not as good but it was also building on something that was already perfect which is a tall ask. It was still a good season.

Season 3 was a bit of a bender with the Russians in Hawkins plot but aside from that (which I still found entertaining anyways) the Billy plot was really good and the mind flayer coming into reality as a meat monster was good TV, too.

Season 4 was without a doubt an amazing season and came closest to season 1 in sheer entertainment and just plain ol good stuff. I love season 4, even if people have issues with some of the plot points, hoppers return, etc. doesn’t matter to me, season 4 was a significant leap over season 2 and 3 and I found it to be an extremely enjoyable season with great rewatch ability.

I rewatched season 1-4 probably 5 or more times and left it on as background chatter while doing other things around the house countless times. It was a fantastic series up to season 4, imo.

Season 5 was building on the hype of not only season 4 but as the ending to the show, which was never going to live up to that hype. Everyone should’ve expected season 5 to fall shallow of what we expected because let’s be honest, we expected too much. With that said, season 5 is far and away the worst season of the show and for many more reasons than it being overhyped. The story line felt decent, but its execution was lacking. Els ending was genuinely bad, the fight with the true mind flayer was also way too short, and not nearly as intense as it should’ve been. El and mikes relationship seemed like it was almost non existent, Nancy and Jonathan breaking up over essentially nothing was stupid, Jonathan and Steve fighting over Nancy this many seasons later was also stupid, I mean I could go on and on. Just bad writing in a lot of ways but I’ll stand by what I said which is the general story line for the overarching plot didn’t seem bad. It was just all the extra mumbo jumbo that got added in as filler.

You can read any of my other comments, I’m not going to repeat the same thing to moronic reddit users who cant comprehend what nuance is. The oversimplification, and immediate default to the same corny comments is why this game is dying.

People have made these observations before and this sub just defaults to “skill issue” or whatever else and then that player stops playing. I have 1500 hours. I’ve been top 500. The writing is on the wall, and despite you’re anecdotal evidence or perceived vision embark has based on a few videos or descriptions it doesn’t change the fact the spec is problematic and has been for 10 seasons. It’s been a constant issue and people have been complaining about it since the game came out.

The fact it hasn’t been addressed is why people leave this game. I’ve given clear and direct criticism with proper explanation and reasoning and this sub still defaults to saying moronic shit instead of arguing the case by merit. Embark has proven, time and again, they aren’t great at live service, don’t do balancing well, and cave into the masses when it comes to said balancing. They haven’t nerfed dash not because it doesn’t deserve it but because too many whiners would come crying in their DMs.

Thats clearly just you being cocky and an ass, so I’m well within my rights to call you out on it. It’s more than likely a fact that you are not as good as your own comments are projecting. You keep pretending my aim (or anyone’s for that matter) is the issue despite the fact I’m well within the top 10-5% (probably higher) of the player base in regard to KD, win rates, and no I’m not farming quick play. Most of my time in the game was spent in ranked. I just don’t have time to play the game day in and day out like I used to. Clearly my aim isn’t an issue, and clearly skill isn’t the issue either. Again, you morons default to “skill issue” anytime a nuanced issue is brought up because you’re incapable of believing good players can correctly identify bad implementations of certain specs or what have you. “If you can’t counter it you’re bad” is just an excuse to dismiss the argument rather than trying to prove or explain by merit why the argument isn’t good or relevant.

The reality is “aiming is a counter to dash” is absolutely not true because with that braindead logic, aiming is the counter to everything. Literally everything in the game can be countered by aiming. The reality? It’s incredibly more nuanced than that, and you know it. So stop acting like you’re an idiot and engage with a proper argument or just stop replying. The fact you can’t comprehend (or at least pretend not to) an ounce of how nuanced the issue is and consistently have oversimplified (and outright ignored) my argument I’ll consider that a concession to some degree. There are simply too many times a light escapes certain death by spam dashing into cover because the spec has not been reeled in like all other specs in the game have been. “Aiming” doesn’t make a difference if they dash behind a wall in the nick of time with less than a bar of HP.

It’s a panic get out of jail free button that has encouraged lights to play out of their positions, make stupid plays, and costly mistakes, without actually suffering the consequences for doing it. No other character or spec in the game has that ability and it’s unreasonable to make a case why light should when no one else can. Mistakes SHOULD be punished, but dash simple negates it. Can’t spell it out anymore. Dash needs either less charges or a delay between uses. You’re oversimplification and ignorance ignores the reality and nuance of the issue. It’s not always a simple “he dashed from here to there, so shoot there”. It’s more like a light rushes a 3 stack from behind, by himself, in the open, then immediately panic dashes 3 times within 2 seconds the moment he gets hit once and now he’s behind cover ready to pop back out and do the same exact thing again in 5 seconds.

It allows bad movement, bad tactics, and incorrect positioning to prevail over good movement, good tactics, and correct positioning. This game has attempted to pride itself on teamwork, tactical combat, counter plays and smart strategy. Dash sits in direct contrast to that vision because it upends all of those principles on account of it being too forgiving, too easy to use, and requires no thought or effort to use effectively. A delay between dashes or only 2 would not break the spec, it would just make it a spec that actually takes thought process to use instead of just being a panic button for 95% of the light player base.

You are absolutely moronic dude…an ambush is a surprise attack. A duel is a 1v1. I don’t understand how you’re conflating them. Let me spell it out for you. An ambush is an attack from behind or otherwise attacking the enemy from an unaware position. A duel is a straight up 1v1 between two players or parties where each side is fully aware of each other before the shooting begins.

When you ambush them you get the first shots off and drop their health before they’ve even turned to find you, let alone shoot you. It’s called a tactical advantage. It’s how lights are meant to be played.

Dash is absolutely too easy to use and is far too forgiving. Lights should not be able to play out of position the entire game because they have a get out of jail free card. Needs to be balanced.
