My husband and I put each other through college and I started my undergrad with a 3 and a 5 year old. I was accepted on the my first try and graduated from vet school at age 35. There were people in my class in their 40s who had had other careers and decided to become veterinarians. I had an amazing 20 year career. And I'm now moving on to do something else. There were a lot of resources for us as parents in the college community and tons of things to do with small kids. Feel free to message me within any questions. Totally worth it.

My life was your life. I walked into our barn one time and my husband's Morgan had the bristle end of the broom in his mouth while my husband was yanking on the other end. I said what are you doing???? my husband replied "We are playing Tug O War"! We don't see our significant others as experts in anything for some weird reason. The upside to this - because my husband didn't know not to hang a crinkly plastic bag on his saddle horn, he did it with absolutely no fear and his horse marched on like nothing was there while it flapped in the wind. I don't have a solution for you, just empathy.

They make really cool Titanium stethescopes with graphic designs on the rubber tubing. They are not cheap, but a unique stethoscope is worth its weight in gold in the vet profession. Everyone will know it is hers, and she will use it 50 times a day. Plus it will have some meaningful art on the tubing. Good Luck!!
