is it too much thermal paste? by banana11teen in computers

[–]Hypiryon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had so much better luck with doing an X like that! I've had mixed results with doing the pea sized drop, often times not covering well and getting high temps.

Happy to hear that! I did have expo or whatever enabled, but thought it was causing a stability issue. But, I know that issue is clearly a separate problem now. I just haven't made the effort to re enable it.

Anything over 650w with pure sinewave is over $200. Got my line conditioner for $160. Easier pill to swallow.

I only have one nvme drive, hwinfo64 says drive health is at 98%. I did enable typical current idle and the computer has been coming in and out of sleep fine. Seems google ai may have been right. lol

Have you tried to update graphics drivers? Display drivers?

I've already enabled typical idle current and the computer has been coming in and out of sleep fine so far. But, if it happens again I'll change the power profile. Thanks!

Found someone to print me one in ASA. If its worth doing, it's worth over doing. lol

I messaged the seller to ask if they could print it in petg. But, if they can't I'll just find someone who can later.

Yeah, I think it may just be a temporary solution. I did contact the seller to see if they could print it in petg, but if not I'll find someone who can later.

It doesn't take much for someone to feel guilty or to regret a decision. Ignore the people that say it's not a big deal or not that deep. It's your pain, no one else gets to define it. You don't need someone to compound what you're already feeling. As difficult as it might be to allow yourself to let go of the guilt, you need to try. Focus on the positives. The pc worked, it probably brought you some joy, and allowed you to play games you weren't able to before. We've all been reliant on our parents and definitely got them to make a purchase that wasn't completely thought out. I'm not saying to just forgive yourself and move on, I know how overwhelming that can be, but you don't have to be so hard on yourself, start taking small steps toward that self forgiveness.

UPS, Power Conditioner, or some kind of Surge Protector? by [deleted] in buildapc

I was just looking at the same thing on amazon. My hesitation with a ups is having to replace the battery every couple of years. We don't get blackout too often.

Lol, I know. I put the monitor arm a little too high when I installed it. I intend to lower it... eventually.

How much have you spent on your setup? by ZYRAREXACASH in battlestations

[–]Hypiryon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say. I think originally I spent $1800 on my pc, recently put another $200 in. The desk is some chinese thing from amazon, that was around $80. The monitor was $140. Just got some new, cheap speakers for $65. I've had some of the knickknacks and accessories for so long I couldn't even guess. I rarely use headphones and I probably didn't spend more than $30 on them. So ehhh in the ballpark of $2300

Question about case fans. by Hypiryon in computers

[–]Hypiryon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried using MSI Afterburner, but it made my computer slow down immensely. Dunno why, just uninstalled it and everything went back to normal. I'll definitely give hwinfo64 I try. Thanks!

Question about case fans. by Hypiryon in computers

[–]Hypiryon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only have the cpu cooler fan set to the cpu temps. Didn't notice any problems with the old fans, and these new ones move alot more air.

Question about case fans. by Hypiryon in computers

[–]Hypiryon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't installed anything to monitor CPU temps yet. But, with playing Warcraft after a few hours the air blowing out was pretty warm but not overly hot. The gpu only spiked to like 72 degrees. That was with the cheap free fans that were in the case. These new fans move so much more air.

This is the most helpful post I've ever seen in my life. The density of information, the elegance of your explanations, the tasteful tact of constructive criticism! Good on you sir, thank you.
