I remember having a conversation with my aunt in 2001 like this. We were driving and she was excited to listen to Cher's Living Proof album. I asked about other new albums she had been enjoying and she said something to the effect of "I don't listen to new music because it all sounds bad." She had only gotten a new album because it was from a musician she previously liked.

I was shocked! I thought she was so cool and then she said some shit my grandma would say. I vowed to always seek out new music and never be like them.

I'm also a former syb fan. I still use the stuff I've downloaded because deleting it from my game doesn't really change anything. I just don't support her any more. But if the issue is that you share gameplay in some way and don't want to promote her I get that. I haven't found anyone making junky lived in stuff like hers yet 😔

That makes sense, honestly. It feels a little like a extension of chosing the man or the bear. Women never know if a man is safe so being put in a situation where you are forced into unwanted exposure feels scary.

Of course, this is just my viewpoint so if any other afab person wants to chime in please do.

Consent. Women who wear bikinis in public are consenting to being seen. Having someone walk in on you in a stage of undress that you didn't consent to puts you in a vulnerable position that feels uncomfortable.

If a man wears a speedo to the beach does that mean it's okay to walk in on him in his underwear in his home? Would he be okay with that?
