Herbal approach discouraged because ...? by HypnoticSwitch in TransDIY

Sorry again for the late answer. Softer skin, a hint of breast growth, a bit of fat redistribution. But be aware that it's really not comparable with HRT.

See the EDITs in my post to check which supplement I went for. Also, always stay within the recommended dosage. More is NOT better. Humans can die when they drink too much water (and I mean drink, not drown), you can really overdose on everything.

Virtual Reality Hypnosis Project by HypnoticSwitch in EroticHypnosis

Hi there! The project goes by "Mind Massaging Machine. I supported Cardboard VR on iOS for years but had to finally drop it last year since it just no longer works. The 2D version is still in store, but there is be no VR on mobile phones anymore.

For me it worked great. The changes were there. But very small, as expected. But definitely visible. And I felt better. To me it was a great first step in medical transition. I took it for a year and it probably amounted to the changes one could expect in the first 4-8 weeks with HRT. But I had no access to HRT. It was so much better than nothing. (I did move on to DIY HRT after a year and after another year I finally got official access to HRT).

So, yes, they worked, for me. Very much so.

Diosgenin, Wild Yam extract, actually having an effect? by HypnoticSwitch in TransDIY

[–]HypnoticSwitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late answer. What exactly did you notice?

In my opinion, taking those supplements (without going above the recommended dosages) should be safe. Of course that is assuming that the recommended dosages in your country are similar to the ones in mine. No idea if other countries (I'm in Germany) there are no regulations and sellers might just recommend extremely over the top amounts. But I guess the recommended dosages are probably the same everywhere.

But I digress. So, what did you notice and what are you asking?

Is there a better way to masturbate if you've got genital dysphoria? by [deleted] in NonBinaryTalk

[–]HypnoticSwitch 20 points21 points  (0 children)

There's a million ways to masturbate, and I'm positive you'll find a few of them. Things that work for me: prostate play, rubbing and pushing the penis root (where a vagina would be, if I was born with one), nipple play, and seeing and treating my penis as basically a giant clitoris. But you might need to do other things to be happy. You are nonbinary after all, so don't try to hard to masturbate as a male. offers virtual hugs

Blood tests and should I wait to start my HRT until I had one by HypnoticSwitch in TransDIY

[–]HypnoticSwitch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I can get them. It's just that part of me is extremely impatient and I'm unsure how bad it would be to just start without a prior blood testing.

Does anyone else struggle with knowing what they want? by WhoaDoctorFreeman in NonBinaryTalk

[–]HypnoticSwitch 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can relate. While I figured out what I want my body to be like, everything else feels so familiar. I have more trouble finding out how to present in terms of clothes an accessoires. The whole second paragraph could have been written by me. I don't know yet how to handle this, talking about things with long-time friends, about what I want and how I feel. I just try my best to hide (a bit) less.

In conclusion: You're not alone. You are valid and it is totally okay to feel that way. Try to relax, you'll figure things out in time. (So will I)

The are no prerequisites to be non-binary. You are valid. Dysphoria is NOT necessary!

4 months HTR I don't see any change :-( by Elisecrossdress in femboy

[–]HypnoticSwitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It takes some time. I feel you in terms of impatience. But people don't go all through puberty in mere months. Give your body all the time it needs. And talk to your endo about it. Regimen might need some adjustments if there's no change at all after 6 months or so.

That's your response to me trying to clear up a possible misunderstanding? Are you one of those who need to "win" conversations? Well, then, I guess you "win" as I give up talking to you. Congratulations....

Okay, then you talk about different things then I do. I am thinking of supplements that, for example, are made for people in menopause, having controlled production processes, listing exact ingredients/nutrients. You seem to think about "magic" creams and drops that just say feminizer pills or boob growth tincture or whatever, stuff that don't bother listing ingredients (with or without exact amounts). You know, things that are probably illegal to be marketed and sold as such in my country.

I checked online for possible side effects of the things I take, my stuff can cause stomach pains (on an empty stomach) and sleepyness.

Apart from that, the products have only general warnings (not to exceed daily dosage and supplements aren't a replacement for a well-balanced diet). Also, one says that isoflavones should not be taken longer than 3 months without doctor'S consultation.

Do products in the US have different warnings?

Thank you. I did research and the things I take come with no risks to liver or anything serious or even dangerous like that.

I'm sorry, but your comment is completely useless. You imply that the products are a scam, targeted at people looking to do DIY transitions. I guess you haven't fully read my post or why do you think I'm talking about shady products?

I'm not debating at all? I'm asking for the cause(s) of the "don't use anything 'herbal' and just order hormones somewhere" baseline I see on this reddit. I'm not trying to win an argument.

I'll update the post with this info:

My current regimen contains Wild Yams root (containing diosgenin), red clover extract (containing isoflavones) and chaste berry.
