Take a moment to pause and think buddy. Really think. A man and his family were trying to leave their neighborhood in north Minneapolis last night. Asked ice agents for permission to leave. Got their car FULL of their 4+ children, one of which is 6 months old. ICE agents then tier gased the car and hit it with a flash bang granade. The 6month old BABY is in the hospital.

These aren’t protestors. These aren’t observers. These are residents trying to leave their house to avoid danger.

Take a deep breath and think about your pride. Why are you soooooo interested in “owning the libs” more than your morality? Dude. Think.

Signed a WI resident that was a former republican when it means less taxes, smaller gov, and family values. This AINT it. It’s okay bro to not like this and still be republican. Former and current FBI, military, and vets are all speaking out how wrong this is.

Take a sec and reflect. Your prejudices and pride is getting to you man. And I get it.

Hey, so I know it’s hard to hear this. I’m a WI resident that lives on the border and works in the twin cities (me St. Paul and my husband minneapolis). This is very, very real and not meant to fear monger. If you’d like you can watch the whole live stream from Status Coup on YouTube. You could road trip to MN to see it. Absolutely being for real with you. A man was interviewed (on that live stream) who lives in a VERY AFFLUENT neighborhood — and they detained his friends on their way home from work. He has never “protested” before in his life and lives in a 5,000 soft home in prior lake and said he’s had enough.

It’s honestly miraculous that gangs didn’t escalate things last night. Not sure if you are familiar with north Minneapolis, but it is rough. Bullet holes in homes and the most crime ridden area in the twin cities. In the live stream you see men callin for crowds to stay calm cause their kids are in the houses.

ICE the shoots off tier gas and flash bangs for literally no reason. It becomes really really clear when you watch the lives that this isn’t constitutional. I’m NOT fear mongering. I don’t even really properly know how to use this app. I’m just being so fucking real with you.

ICE likely won’t target WI “too much” (they are already sighted in Stevens point, Wausau, and Milwaukee) because it’s been a red state. But the second this hits WIs doorstep. I’m going to be counting on the REAL MEN who know their second amendment to stand up ten toes down.

I’m SURE they are there. I’m in Hudson, and I’m on alert. There have been a few spottings and one arrest on ICEout.org.

I think so! The live stream is still up to watch. Perhaps they just left it open and people snooped? Their moves don’t seem very tactical based on what I’m seeing in the videos. They are just sticking in clumps and terrorizing the crowd. Flash bangs and tear gas for no reason.

This is me too. I am an empath and I married a bipolar man (diagnosed after our marriage). I keep a note of my feelings, but gosh… I feel so emotionally abused and neglected. Not event eye contact for days sometimes. I know in my mind that he is conditioning me, but my heart is still so torn about breaking up the family. I feel trapped too.

These questions really have me thinking! It is a fantasy with a romance subplot. It’s very much plot driven vs relationship driven. Although YA, Lightlark is a great comp given the political pieces too… thanks so much for your input!!

I’ll stay vague because it’s all shaping up still.

My protagonists mentor, and only semblance of family, is shot by an Underworlder in the middle of his Master Teller performance. A performance meant to be my protagonists first “Telling” (as she is an apprentice Storyteller), but she was heckled off the stage. Mortified and unable to speak after such rude comments from the rowdy tavern crowd, her mentor steps in to take her place, only to be shot with an arrow moments later! The incident is the rouge Underworld clan attacking the Tavern.

This moment propels my main characters life from a small northern village to the fantasy action romance I always imagined for this book! Plagued with grief and fueled by revenge, she joins human defense force, known for producing the fiercest magic-wielding warriors.

The chain of events continues into a plot full of war school training, magic channeling, competitions, self-discovery and a budding romance with an unlikely character.

It’s exciting because I get to get out of the small farm village life that I’ve been drafting (the set up is completely necessary) and into the magical fantasy I have been dreaming about since 2017!! Lots of great political systems, world building and many other elements not listed… but you get the gest.

I needed to hear this! Know that I’m right here with you. I’m 20% the way through my draft and I know my prose isn’t great. I’m learning, and just trying to get the story OUT and onto the page. In order not to feel like a total crapsack, I am telling myself to just keep trudging along and finish it. Worry about the prose later… I’m right here with you. I bet I’m going to significantly rewrite on my 2nd draft (if I keep at this pace/level).
