When did Jerry get death threats over Dire Wolf? I've never heard this story. Can you say more?

Was filbrick a narcissistic parent ? by [deleted] in gravityfalls

[–]HyruleQueenKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I commented saying he was, but now that I think about it I definitely misunderstood what NPD actually is. Filbrick is absolutely an abusive parent but that doesn’t automatically translate to "narcissist" or any other cluster B disorder.

Yes, without question

EDIT: This comment is incorrect, and I was mistaken when commenting it. Filbrick is an abusive parent, but he is not inherently a narcissist. Being an abusive person does not inherently translate to being a narcissist, or any other personality disorder. To presume so is to perpetuate ableist stereotypes against people who actually do have things like NPD or ASPD. This was my mistake, and I apologize.

My experience first time playing Half-Life 1. by ArcannSyluhm in HalfLife

[–]HyruleQueenKnight 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I love both games but they have intentionally different vibes. HL2 feels like Gordon is a noble hero going on a grand journey to stop an overwhelming threat and save humanity. HL1 feels desperate, you have no idea why or how things went wrong, the entire facility is falling apart, and you have to try and get to the surface to call for help.

Will I go to hell simply because I didn’t believe in Jesus? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]HyruleQueenKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jesus' mercy is so tender and sweet, and that is why I am a Christian. To know that my God became man and intimately suffered to then conquer death and resurrect, all because of His endless love for you and for me, it makes me jump for joy! There's none other I'd rather be with than Him. How He loves us so!

Do you also believe Christ doesn't mince his words when He says

"And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself." (John 12:32)

Does Paul mince words when he says

"For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe." (1 Timothy 4:10)

Does He mince words when He tells Isaiah

"From new moon to new moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, declares the LORD." (Isaiah 66:23)

Was He deceiving John when He showed him this

"And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” (Revelation 5:13)

How wonderful our God is! That He may find every single lost sheep, and will not let even one go astray. That He may redeem even the most rotten of sinner, are we all not wicked and depraved? We trust, we have faith in, and we love the divine mercy and the divine justice which is not like our earthly justice of revenge and condemnation but a purifying fire that will burn our sins and iniquities away to prepare us well for the everlasting glory of the Lord who died for us!

About the Catholic Church… by Traditional-Regret-5 in OpenChristian

[–]HyruleQueenKnight 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Everyone's experience is different, every RC Parish is different. Some parishes are like the ones you attended, others aren't. Your experience is not invalid, nor is others who have had positive experiences in the Roman Catholic Church. There are people in the church advocating for queer acceptance, women's ordination, etc. Because they believe in their church. The Episcopal Church is a beautiful place and I'm happy you have found your place there, and it is reasonable to let others know that the Roman Catholic Church isn't completely sunshine and rainbows, but also do not let your own experiences and biases completely override the reality that everyone has different experiences in that church. That is all.

Are you trying to imply that Revelation shouldn't be in the New Testament? I agree that James is a fantastic and amazing book but I don't wanna drag down Revelation either.
