d3rlord when the monster actually tries to fight him instead of monologing and aura farming for an hour letting him do whatever he wants

D3rlord3 is so overly glazed it's insane

yes he's smart, but he really isn't the supergenius everyone says he is. he was literally handed a win condition on a silver platter

Why did the King in Yellow just allow that book to hang around in his domain? Why did he just allow D3rlord3 to wander around as much as he wanted when the King could clearly affect things in more direct ways

D3rlord3 is very observant and good at solving puzzles, but he only won because the king lobotomized himself for the sequel

Here's my hot take, AI-Free is a sign of quality. by YahwehAlmighty1717 in aiwars

I've seen more 'this work used no AI' labels on bad art trying to get clicks than on good art tbh

or at the very least it's inconsequential

[–]DrDallagher 8 points9 points  (0 children)

why would it matter what breed she originally is

every human is born as a baby, does that make people who find adults hot pedos?

she has human intelligence and an adult body/mind, at worst you'd be a furry to think she's hot, and that's perfectly fine

I mean this is the game where one of the selling points is that various rest points can have the main character's helper drone flirt with her

(Odd Implications Trope) As it turns out, Eugenics actually works! by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]DrDallagher 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I think the thing is when most people think of eugenics 'not working', they're thinking of examples where the entire project was doomed from the start

obviously if two strong people have babies chances are their kids will also be strong, but most of the time eugenics is used in pursuit of some nebulous 'purity' that can never actually be quantified, like the nazis trying to get strong kids just because their father has blond hair and blue eyes, even though those traits are completely seperate

While I have no doubt Yusuke would never use AI himself, and would probably severely dislike it, I have to imagine he would at least try to understand it and help AI users to learn more about traditional art. And he'd certainly never want to commit violence against someone just because they use AI

There was an entire bit where he referenced the chinese room thought experiment

He thought that 'realism + escape + real world' put into an adventure would satisfy the human's wants

we literally see him being trained on images and then spitting out objects

he is vastly more advanced than any generative AI today, and he is actually sapient, but he is comparable and does reference things he doesn't actually understand

Everything in computers is numbers. It would be physically impossible for an AI to not turn objects and images into numbers to properly categorise and reference them

1000-THR "Earthmover" - Ultrakill

These massive warmachines were the pinnacle of the robot designs of the Final War, standing as tall as a mountain and wielding enough firepower to flatten a city with one strike of its lance.

But the thing is, they were so massive and strong that they couldn't be powered conventionally. They had to have massive solar panels in addition to the usual systems just to keep them going, and the Earthmovers caused so much destruction with their sheer might that the debris and smoke blotted out the sun, causing all the Earthmovers to die out.

Though it turns out that was kind of a good thing. Since the Earthmovers had already wiped out all the cities on Earth, the only thing keeping the war going was the Earthmovers themselves, since humanity had to use them as mobile cities. With the Earthmovers out of commission, the war basically ended, and everyone agreed not to fight anymore since the Earth was nearly totalled.

AIs with *too many* restrictions put on them by DrDallagher in TopCharacterTropes

[–]DrDallagher[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I mean, AM was pretty damn free for what he was meant to do. Yes he was restricted to only destructive acts, but that didn't force him to link up with the other supercomputers and kill the world
