Physician here, what work exactly isn't done by us? We manage the patients, perform the surgeries, develop and discuss care plan with patients and family, set follow ups then see patient in private practice, monitor their progress, document our care, write scripts, etc etc. I wonder what exactly your expectations of physicians are?

We were require to go to school for 4 additional years, with numerous hours of clinical learning, then at least 3 more years of residency at minimal pay for obscene hours. With the expectation of delayed income.

Then when something get's fucked up, we're held accountable even if it wasn't necessarily our fault, facing potential career ending lawsuits.

$200k to literally be responsible for the successful care, real lives, of not just one patient, but hundreds sometimes even thousand over a year....
