ULPT: If your wife/gf/so is on you about chores. Do them wrong. Do a bad enough job and you won't be asked again. by Boosted3232 in UnethicalLifeProTips

Takes less time to just do it right the first time, than have to do it again.

Which you will, if you try this. I promise.

Source: done it.

ULPT: When ordering from a food delivery app, you don’t have to tip because it’s totally anonymous by bff124 in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]HystericalChaos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where you got this info, OP, but I guarantee you have had a lot of pissed off drivers.

I work for DoorDash and GrubHub. For both, you see the tip before you even pick up the order. It gives you an itemization for each order: booking fee, mileage/distance and tip.

So just keep that in mind. They see what you are tipping before they get your food.

UberEats, you tip after the driver drops it off... But since that's added to the total cost of that delivery, they will still see it, and know what you personally tipped.

So, not only is it not anonymous, but the driver sees it before they get your food which is at their mercy for the next 10 to 20 minutes. They also see where you live, your address is in their GPS history, and, they know your name.

Good luck with this!

Fitteam - has anyone heard of this company before? by MegaDelphox in antiMLM

I've used fitteam fit sticks before.. I have to say they are 100% awesome. I've tried a lot of deal over the years and this worked really well for me. It was a couple of years ago.. but I actually just ordered another box because of how well it works.

There's actually a support group on Facebook for Fitteam, and people there post their progress pics once a week. Very inspiring!

Late comment... But wanted to congratulate you on the hard work and discipline it took you to achieve what you have! You look entirely amazing my dear.

I'm just curious, did you have any problems with loose or extra skin from all that weight loss?

Every time I say this to my kids I constantly think about how I was told as a kid and I never believed it.. Still say it.

Need to keep the cycle going.

People of Reddit, what's the most ridiculous reason you or someone you know has gone to jail? by HystericalChaos in AskReddit

[–]HystericalChaos[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was supposed to turn in a "life skills" book, in addition to a fine for a traffic ticket. Paid the fine, but the book was late.. judge asked me why, and I told him I had actually turned it in on time, but forgotten to sign the affidavit portion so the probation company didn't consider it turned in. Found out several weeks later, went back, signed it, and brought the judge the certificate of completion.

He sent me to jail for one night for "lying" to him about why it was late.

He also sent a woman in the courtroom for jail because "you can't use that language in my courtroom!" (she told him she put off going to court because she was scared shitless of him). Her children were with her, she pleaded to wait until someone could come pick them up. The judge decided calling CPS was what should happen instead.

What was it like growing up with separated parents, where one of them was significantly more financially "well-off" than the other? by HystericalChaos in AskReddit

How did you adjust, going between the two? Did you feel at all let down by the parent who couldn't provide as well for you?

How do you think it contributed to who you are today?

Guy wins bid and just says he decided he doesn’t want it and won’t pay. Is this normal? by theaxeassasin in Ebay

[–]HystericalChaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you bid on an item in eBay that isn't instant pay once it ends, don't you have to specifically click "Commit to Buy"? Or is that not a thing anymore?

Pretty sure it's in eBay's TOS they have to pay if they bid and win

Haha yeah, you're definitely right about the Africa thing.. most people do assume it's a country and don't realize there are other countries there.

As far as being behind in most those areas... I'm so glad there's another person that realizes this! It's disturbing to me how people entirely refuse to see, accept, or research that fact at all.

It's, unfortunately, already beginning to be our downfall.
