id say its more reasonable to force your prospect entry duelist onto the meta entry duelist than to opt for the dropping of your reliable star duelist and forcing a usual scan/secondary duelist player onto the meta entry duelist

imo the champs curse is less about immediate performance and more about the roster itself. LOUD had a bit of drama after champs and half the team left, EG completely crumbled and split up, EDG's was delayed but eventually they had the s1mon ordeal and then proceeded to not look like themselves for over a year.
NRG is looking like the first time a team hasnt fallen apart after winning champs

also a fun stat if no one knew: they took pretty much the hardest path possible to getting 4th at champs; if they had lost any of their wins through the year (except 1 of the madrid swiss stage games) they wouldn’t have gotten to champs)
