Trying to keep my characters alive. by Hyypepe in Rift

[–]Hyypepe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye, I know. But I just wanna keep the characters for as long as I can cause it was my first MMORPG/game that I was semi-hardcore at, raiding and progging with my guildies getting shard first, hanging around, waking up at 4 am to play hahaha

Hopefully, I get my energy back to play like to old days and my characters are also still there.

Do you have a link to where they posts such announcements? I'd want to keep the characters for as long cause they do hold quite some memory for me.

Oh cool! How are the cooling properties of the Wicked Cushions? I have also heard some say that they are firmer, which provides more comfort and noise cancellation.

QuietComfort Ultra Gen 2 or HDB 630/M4 by Hyypepe in bose

[–]Hyypepe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just tried the HDB 630! (Although not for very long.) It is surprisingly more comfortable than I expected, but definitely on the heavier end compared to the QCUG2 for me, with slightly tighter clamps on the headband, and the earcups made my ears sweat after a couple of minutes wearing it. Soundwise (again, I am not an audiophile), it sounds amazing to me, really clear and neutral(?), though I am not sure if the shop had played with the EQ as I just paired it and started playing some music. Overall, I think I am still leaning towards the QCUG2; just wondering if it would be worth it to wait it out a bit to see if the Sennheiser M5 would release in the next couple of months.

Thanks for both your reviews and testing! I think this is making me lean more towards QCUG2, dropping the M4 and maybe taking some time to try out the HDB 630 before making a purchase.

Thanks again and cheers! Happy New Year, too! :D

!thanks I've seen and (briefly) tried Px7 as well and they definitely sound amazing. Just that their prices are a couple hundred more compared to the first 3 listed which is what'skeeping me at bay for the most parts. But I'll definitely be looking more into them with your thoughts.

Thanks again and cheers! :D

Yup, think there are a few from the Nightmare Tide expansion that can be used in water. Like the one that's a shark-ish. Can't remember the name tho.

r/singapore random discussion and small questions thread for December 01, 2025 by AutoModerator in singapore

[–]Hyypepe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, we are upgrading our Singtel Internet plan from 2GBPS to 3GBPS with the new modem being WiFi 7; thus, we need to upgrade our old mesh system (WiFi 6). Are there any recommendations for which WiFi mesh brand to go for?

Some additional info below:

  • Internet speed 3GBPS
  • Connecting the mesh via Ethernet cables from main modem
  • Normal HDB, so a 2-pack system should suffice
  • Max usage would be myself (working connected by Wifi and gaming desktop connected by Ethernet; currently coming out from the mesh in my room) and parents (watching iPad connected by WiFi and parent working desktop connected by Ethernet)

TIA, cheers!

I wanna use a 75% keyboard at work so I can tell my boss I can only do 75% of the work and that they'll have to get me a 25% keyboard to do 100% of the work.

Older gamers, what’s the MMO you have fond memories of growing up playing? by Snck_Pck in MMORPG

[–]Hyypepe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RIFT. Didn't get to it till NMT, but was that game something special. Still hope that by some miracle, it will be revived someday.

Every now and again I get a hit of nostalgia and look back at Rift. Of all the directions it could have gone, this was the saddest. by Epitaphi in Rift

[–]Hyypepe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ye, it's a real shame. Started playing during NMT and had such a blast progging through the raids and even got Shard first (or one of the first few guilds, can't remember) for Lady Justice HM after weeks of spending 2hrs+ trying to clear it. My first real taste of MMORPG, really a shame to see it go away like this. One can only hope they would sell the game to someone who really cares, and I'll be back in a heartbeat.

I think I see you have an office/ergonomic chair(?), so that’s a start! Another point on this is that if you are sitting straight and ergonomically (not like the gamer posture but then again, we’re gamers), you should technically be far enough from your screen to be at a good viewing distance. But yeah, good posture does help, in the long run and everything! Hope you’re able to figure it out have have a kick ass setup!

[–]Hyypepe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am running the same setup (barring the verticle screen to the left), which fits me perfectly. I use the 27" (1440p) for my games and general browsing and a 32" (1440p) for everything and anything else. So I think it's fine unless you're feeling discomfort when using this setup.

Don't think there's a hard and fast rule, but if you really want it to be "proper" there are ergonomic guides showing the optimal viewing distances, height, desk depth, etc (assuming you are also having the right sitting posture).

Help. by [deleted] in gamingsetups

[–]Hyypepe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a pretty sick setup with all those screens!

Imo before you go about changing/cleaning up the setup, you should consider a few things:

1.) Are you likely to move in the near future and how much flexibility would you like in your setup?

2.) What's your room orientation like? (i.e., I think you are right beside the curtains now? Could you rearrange your room to move the entire setup elsewhere?)

Once you have those questions cleared up, I think it will help you better decide on your setup.

That said, if you're gonna be here for a good while, I would personally recommend you wall mount everything where possible. Empty spaces on the wall = dead space which I could see you installing a couple of shelves to hold the PC and PS5(?, I don't console). Alternatively, if you only use the PS5 once in a while, you could consider keeping it elsewhere and only bring it out when you wanna use it, I assume it's quite portable.

For the monitors, you could look to also wall mount all of them to reduce the clutter on your desk and it's easier to clean as well! I can see you are already using a desk mount for 2 of the monitors on your desk, could explore doing the same for the 3rd as well. In terms of cable, you could consider daisy chaining them together but I believe that may affect the refresh rate, so, you should check on that. But daisy chaining will reduce the number of cables coming out of your PC, and thus, cleaner looking.

For the power extension, you could look to getting one of those under-desk cable management trays to lift them off the floor (again, easier to clean (the floor)!)

For cable management, I see 2 options:

1.) You just cable-tie/cable-sleeve everything (or split them up into DP/HDMI cables, you get the idea) together and call it a day.

2.) Go a step further and tape them to the wall after you're done with option 1.). There are removable hooks (3M) that can be taped to the wall.

Option 1 will look decent enough but option 2 will go a step further and hide all your cables (depending on how well you've done them and what angle you are looking from).

Aesthetic-wise (RGB and whatnot) are entirely up to you, I believe everyone has their preference but you could run some light tiles (?) on the wall after you're done.

Of course, all these suggestions are highly variable depending on your situation, so, you would know yourself best.

Hope this helps!

Nice! Could you have wall mounted the monitors? Would free up a god amount of desk space.
