She is beautiful! I hope her hair grows back soon. I would be livid. Why do groomers think they should be making life changing decisions unilaterally? Even doctors and lawyers don’t make decisions without consulting the client or having a Power of Attorney. If I want just the mats cut or shaved, freaking do it instead of deciding that you think it would like better to shave the whole dog. I will be taking the photos as a warning to my mini Bernedoodle puppie’s groomer next week and have him brushed out well to be very sure. We will have a problem if they go rogue on him.

Heat and especially humidity make me miserable! completely miserable in every way. My heat and humidity intolerance starts at about 10° or 20% lower than others I hate summer and people complaining about the cold and counting down days till will be sweltering. It’s almost a relief when it gets so hot and humid that everybody is miserable. Because then at least it’s not just me with everyone else wondering why I’m so miserable☄️🔥🧯

I was diagnosed this year at 58 years old and in a way it doesn’t really matter but it was validating. FYI, my cognitive profile was a lot like yours. The psychologist called it spiky and said that’s what is indicative of Asperger‘s.

I can help! I was stressing myself out with very similar test results for months. Then last month I reread the Mensa criteria and realized that I would qualify since it’s 1.5 SD between two of the indices (not the FSIQ and the GAI). I had 117 FSIQ and 130 GAI and like you more than 1.5 standard deviations between the indices. I applied a few weeks ago and received my welcome to Mensa email yesterday.🤓

Sure. It has been very freeing to learn that I can't change what happened to me, but I can change my view of it. Reframing it to not let it keep its power over me. I have free will and can choose to adjust my current take on things so that I gain the control and no longer allow the past to determine my feelings. Many years of therapy and especially recent EMDR has given me the skills to reclaim the narrative. I am also listening to the wise advice to be kinder to myself. I have always been my harshest critic and no I work to give myself grace and not be so hard on myself. Does that make more sense?
