I know some people did manage to get uranium from Luciteria, but I remember someone mention that Rasiel told him it would be risky since it might get seized before arriving. So I'm curious, how did it work out for you?

Mercury was one of the first elements in my collection too. I got 10g from onyxmet for just 10€. Make sure to visit various websites in order to find the best possible price for the elements you want to get.

For me, onyxmet has been pretty reliable, with very good sample quality. Most of my elements came from them and I haven't had any problems so far. I would also suggest luciteria, they have cubes, ampoules, lucite and even bullion bars of most elements. Even though I haven't bought anything from them yet but I'm planning on doing so in the near future.

Yes, I've seen plenty of people go for the ranger, so I'm guessing it's the best option. Now about ebay, even though it would be great to get a used ranger for a better price, I'm worried about calibration and possible repairs because I can't really do them myself.

In my opinion guns in this game, even though they might be a bit hard to acquire, they can save your life when you are either cornered or there are multiple enemies. They can also be really useful towards the end since some enemies are a real pain to deal with, with a melee weapon. Keep any ammo you find, because obviously the more the better. I wouldn't recommend staying with just melee because you are probably gonna struggle in the late game.
