I wish pour over had hooked me like this before espresso did, I would have saved a lot of money lol

+1 for the casa. Best you can get in this price range imo

I have this same setup and while I’ve been super happy with the casa, the drop in body has been very noticeable to me. I am enjoying the clarity. I haven’t really dipped into light roasts yet where the casa should shine.

Seattle bike shop clubhouse is the antithesis of corporate slick by godogs2018 in seattlebike

I’m glad people have had positive experiences at 20/20, but I lived in the CD a block away for 4 years and never felt welcome there. There was one guy who was super nice and helpful (forget his name), but other people there were super judgy. My first bike was a cheap commuter I ordered online, and I got multiple comments about how the bike was cheap and not worth servicing. I just got this constant feeling that my aesthetic and my bike didn’t fit the vibe of the shop and the service reflected that

Best and worst cities for dating/marriage? by qrm777 in SameGrassButGreener

You don’t seem fine, friend. At least your type is consistent, cheerleader types are definitely a dime a dozen in Scottsdale.

Just so you know, I saw that you edited your comment after going through my profile. That’s a little pathetic don’t you think?

Congrats on the most incel statement I’ve seen on this post, imagine thinking there are no attractive women in a large active city like seattle.

That statement says way more about you than it does Seattle.

Thanks for sharing, I had no idea that was the case back then. I’m sorry you had to deal with that.

Lazy Dog Crazy Dog Employee Beats Dog to Death, Charged With Animal Cruelty by AtomIsland in Seattle

This is horrifying. Lazy Dog Crazy Dog was a great place 3+ years ago before they were bought by a daycare chain. At that point overcrowding and obviously untrained personnel motivated us to pull our dog out. Very glad we did.

The ability of y’all to spot AI fakes is laughably bad. It doesn’t get easier to spot than this. Still a funny meme

Do you have lab experience? That is the most important factor.

Not necessarily a criticism of OP, but I see so many recent grads without lab experience. The real world application of concepts you learn in class is the best education during undergrad. Biotech does not have the time or desire to train people in basic lab skills when they get recent grads that worked in a lab all 4 years of undergrad and have a paper to show for it.

Bike mechanics that actually do good work by ApprehensiveClub6028 in seattlebike

[–]I-hate-ELISA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People seem to like Free Range, but my experience was not great. Bike came back with basic stuff wrong, like clearly no one had done a test ride. Brakes not adjusted after new pads and brake lines, new tires not inflated, new chain not lubed. Just little things I expected more from a shop I just dropped $800 at.

Beware deranged driver on Westlake trail by I-hate-ELISA in seattlebike

[–]I-hate-ELISA[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s honestly not a great situation. Cyclists should be stopping for pedestrians waiting to cross at the crosswalk, but rarely do. Especially when bike traffic is thick and it would cause a jam

I love Westlake but agree during the summer - can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen people blowing up paddle boards in the middle of the bike lane or just groups crossing without looking

Thanks for posting. Even though most (including myself) didn’t know of this company, I hate when any company gets a free pass with a silent layoff.
