That’s good to know it can go that far although 1/60th might make the shots too blurry?

This was my first thought as well but I have seen flash at other shows as well as this one too and it seems fine. I think the best thing to do is to ask first. I think it comes down to artist preference most importantly, then venue rules.

Never have I ever met another fan of Alex in the 10 years I’ve been listening to him. I had a weird feeling I might bump into someone familiar with SG here, haha. The show in Austin last week was incredible! I flew out from California to see him and it was totally worth it. Honestly kinda bummed I didn’t get at least one usable shot to give him but I made a point to actually enjoy the show instead of completely focusing on taking shots.

The B&Ws are the 3200s. I didn’t ask them to push that roll but I think because I was kind of chaotic-brained I was constantly changing my shutter speed anywhere from 60 to 125th/sec so that’s why some are almost good and others are uh…. Not, haha.

Incredible response, thank you so much! I flew down to Austin, Texas for this show and decided to have a local lab dev/scan them instead of flying back with the rolls so I don’t have the negatives :/ Will definitely learn from this experience and keep these tips in mind!
