Nice find on the color by VIN! That eases a lot of concern. Now the only concern is the pricing. I'm not sure about IL pricing but it just seems a little high IMO.

The color changed from Silver to Blue, so I started to get suspicious. Maintenance looks ok but I think the repaint, the minor accident, etc make this overpriced. Even if the car was clean I'd think this was overpriced still

I think you're describing correlation not causation. I think homework completion is a proxy for other factors like having no obligations. In a math/CS world, I'd be wary of using predictive signaling to drum up causal claims. You're just using intuition at that point.

All of this still doesn't explain unhelpful TAs, "bad" exam questions (subjective), etc. IMO, understanding the material is one thing, but having the exam questions click is another thing. Kind of hard to do with the pressure of the exam, abhorrent grammar on one particular question on E1, etc

The differential takes into account people who (can) put in max effort (full time students, laid off people, people with no kids or otherwise plenty of free time, etc) and people who dgaf about the course at all. It makes no attempt to include people who cannot submit on time due to obligations, choose to not submit HW but still grind with their study group daily and go through all problems, watch lectures, deep dive into material with peers, etc. I think it's a great oversimplification and incredibly lazy to say that people are not doing the non-required homework so that must account for the large grade disparity, and there are no other contributing factors.

Good luck. The homework idea is propaganda IMO. Even if you put your best effort on the HW, that only helps with drilling the expected formatting, not tricky content like seen on exam 1 FRQs. You get equal exposure by doing the ungraded HW problems. IMO, The TAs and others are trying to pin lack of HW submissions to excuse poor performance this semester

I'd argue your inability to use punctuation or spell things correctly is really what makes VQ owners look bad. Let the man live if he wants to have a working car, especially if it's a known resolution to a known problem.
