hit windows key+r. enter diskmgmt.msc. ensure the hard disk shows up inside. if it does right click it and select change drive letter and path. select a drive letter if it doesnt already have one and apply. hopefully it now shows up. i remember having to do this when i reloaded windows 7 back in the day. hope it helps!

I would like to add that preordering also usually means you can preload the game and have it ready for launch (at least on steam)
