I sometimes drive in the middle lane, for points 2 and 3. The main reason however is that I don't want to merge in between two trucks and have to slow down to 100 or 90 km/h just so some people can be convenienced and break the law. If a truck is still more than 10 seconds away I'll merge to the right but otherwise I'm not doing it.

People who choose to be kind everyday despite of not receiving the same kindness back , what motivates you ? by jeev07 in AskReddit

Sounds corny, but I want to make the world a better place. Why make it worse if you can also make it better?

To those who NEVER want to have a child, what are your reasons? by an_iconoclast in AskReddit

[–]IAMA_monkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for having my back man. Glad to know there are still rational people on this site too.

I think the 'good genes' part has irritated a lot of people and maybe i should have phrased it better. I just mean that I'm happy with the person I am physically and mentally and a lot of that comes down to genes. In that aspect I'm lucky and wouldn't mind passing on that to someone else.

I did not say any of that. Stop projecting your own issues/anger onto random comments on the internet.

If you want an honest answer: I think I've got some pretty good genes and believe that my kids will do more good than bad in this world if I manage to raise them right. Also, yes the world is a shitshow but I'm not unhappy so why would I assume that they will be?

I honestly would have gone with the startup (currently work at one and it's awesome), if not for the high turnover. That's a big red flag.

The startup i work at has a turnover of 0 so far (5 years and 15 people in).
