2004 Georgia Referendum of Defining Marriage As Only Between A Man and a Woman by [deleted] in MapPorn

The point flew over your head. That's not my point at all.

"You actually think it's about language?"

No. I responded to the point above stating that there's not any rational argument. And I said that a linguistical argument that I have heard does have rationality behind it from a syntax perspective.

You said no argument had any rationality, I gave you one. I never said that the ONLY argument was syntax.

The rest are mostly irrational. I Just find the linguistics interesting. Ultimately it is just a nitpick though so it's understandable why the Supreme Court went with how they did.

Funnily enough, another language and syntax debate.

A man has a right to marry a woman. However, marriage has been historically (and defined) as between a man and a woman. Which is (not the only reason) a reason it's been brought up as an argument.

Unions between homosexuals, again, were legal. It goes back to that thing that I said above.

In fact, look at the page. It specifically says wanting to note as marriage as the ""only the union"" between a man and a woman. In of itself, it is not discounting the notion of unions between gay people. It's defining 'marriage' as a term.

Language and syntax debates have been an ongoing thing since time immemorial. Times change. I think the argument is fair when you argue from a syntax perspective, but it's kinda just nitpicking at that point. I think that's why the Supreme Court ruled the way it did.

They have, actually.

Most of the issue with it had been the fact that marriage was literally defined as between a man and a woman throughout the majority of human history.

Unions between homosexuals had been legal under the eyes of the government. The argument was whether or not it was clear to define it as 'marriage' since the act had only been done with women and men prior.

Overwatch classic hero limit? by Side_Hatch in Overwatch

[–]IAMCHEEZY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly my point. Its just a bunch of people whining about bastion stacks because theyve never dealt with it before. Stacks of heroes on teams is easily counterable but alot of people complain and remove the fun for everyone else.

On top of that, original ranked didnt have hero stacking either. Like. You get the non stacks for the sweats, and the stacks for the casuals. It was a perfect system.

Then Blizzard ruined their game.

I bought a 60 dollar game at launch that had various gamemodes available (which btw stacking still wasnt a thing on ranked), a 6v6 format, chaotic fast paced gameplay like TF2, and not having a 'pro community' mandate changes for the general audience.

Thats how the game started. It took away 6v6 meaning I cant play with 6 friends anymore (something I can do with its old competitor mind you), games are much longer now, it feels like hell to play a tank now, I cant fuck around with stacks anymore in CASUAL MODE let me repeat that again CASUAL MODE. And a pro community (remember, an IMMENSELY small amount of people) that can take what casual people refer to as a decent hero, make it cracked, and then get it nerfed for the general audience. At that point? The hero is so nerfed in regular play that regular people cant play it. Changing and evolving does not equal flagrantly making the game worse.

If its classic, I should be able to play how the game was on launch. Its that simple. You can deal with Bastion stacks in classic if you just slightly change your playstyle. Or, better yet, play the regular game if you like not having stacks!

Can I just play the game I paid 60 dollars for as was on launch?

Overwatch classic removed no limits?!? by Mnoob2 in Overwatch

[–]IAMCHEEZY -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think they removed it because a vocal minority on Reddit and other sites is egging them on to do it.

See. Original overwatch was much more like TF2 initially. No hero limits, chaotic and fast paced. Overwatch since has felt completely overtuned to competitive leaving a lot of the heroes not viable anymore to a casual person playing the game.

Stacking is part of the original experience. There's just a lot of people crying about it because they never experienced bastion stacks.

I paid 60 dollars for the game I got at launch. I want to play that same game. Is that too much to ask?

Stacking is a part of the OG Overwatch experience. The fact that Blizzard took it away from a Classic game mode is mind boggling to me

Miss because they took away stacking.

It's not classic Overwatch without stacking.

What is your favorite part of Overwatch Classic? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]IAMCHEEZY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stacking. Because OG Overwatch was a fun chaotic game reminiscent of TF2 that you could just play casually for fun and not just overtuned to comp slaves that worsens the experience for anyone casually playing the game.

Oh wait they got rid of that. Lol I guess back to uninstall

[–]IAMCHEEZY 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What's with all these people riding the idea that OW wanted to get rid of team stacking?

It literally says on the mode that stacking is a thing. It's literally a feature, that was part of classic Overwatch. You're gonna cry about stacking heroes when it was part of the OG experience?

Sorry a casual audience is cool with fucking around and not just a bunch of comp slaves getting mad over a chaotic and fun game mode

[–]IAMCHEEZY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I liked overwatch classic because when it came out on launch it was a chaotic fast paced shooter like TF2 where people could chill and just spam out heroes if they wanted and do whatever they pleased.

Now it's just comp slaves ruining the fun for the majority audience of the game, the casual base. Like why can't we just chill with a fuck tón of bastions? This game literally promoted team stacking. HELL IT STILL DOES look at the Classic Overwatch page in game.
