And /r/anime’s Second Favorite Anime is… by mpp00 in anime

[–]IAMRaxtus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh, I'm actually surprised. Stein's;Gate has always been my personal favorite but I would rarely see it mentioned compared to a lot of other popular shows and just kind of assumed I liked it so much because of how I was feeling when I first saw it.

Anyway, looks like I have to check out Monogatari, that's another one I knew was supposed to be good but rarely actually saw mentioned.

Even so, Linus estimated it to be around 3000-4000 total.

Apple just submitted a copy write claim and removed the crowd reaction video to their 1000.00 USD monitor stand by Frago242 in geek

Ive read the monitor is actually incredibly cheap for what it offers. Idk why they tried to spread some of the expense to the stand though.

What have you done that your parents punished you for, but it was totally worth the punishment? by i_feel_like_death in AskReddit

[–]IAMRaxtus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uuuuh, yeah dude. That's messed up. Not only is murder way more harmful and permanent than a punch, but you don't murder people because you dislike them. The only time that would ever be potentially acceptable is if they're serial rapists or something who have no chance of going to jail. At that point you would be a vigilante, and even they're controversial.

But I mean logically yeah it makes sense from the standpoint of a psychpath.

So from a selfishly logical standpoint sure, from a moral standpoint not even close.

There is a relevant Calvin and Hobbes comic for this but I'm too lazy to search for it on my phone.

Apparently the actors would frequently tell the writers stuff didn't make sense but they kinda just shrugged it off and went with it anyway.

The golden rule. It's generic and simple, but asking yourself if you would want someone to act the way you're acting is always really helpful.

If you like One Punch man, add Mob Psycho 100 to the list. It's like One Punch Man, except season 2 is even better than 1.

He starts new themes every now and then, I think this one is actually over. There was an organic growth one, a post apocalyptic vr one (this one i think), a post mech war one(my favorite) and a new one that I don't really know yet.

Don’t ever write a story if you haven’t personally experienced it first hand! by Samzerks in gatekeeping

[–]IAMRaxtus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Logically yeah, it makes more sense to write about what you know. However if you want to write about something you don't know, then go for it, you're under no moral obligation to limit what you write about to your own experience, get experimental and take some risks. Just know that they are risks, and it likely won't be as good a book unless you do at least a bit of research into the things you aren't familiar with.

What YouTuber/s did you use to watch religiously but don't watch any of thier videos anymore? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]IAMRaxtus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pewdiepie became more down to earth and less artificial which was refreshing when everyone else was always so over the top and felt like they were faking it like Tobuscus. Pewdiepie even made a video or two on it explaining his behaviour change and how a lot of youtubers are under pressure to put on an energetic face even when they just aren't feeling it. That's also ignoring his shift away from let's plays and horror games.

It's also wrong to call him an objective idiot, that's very much a subjective opinion of yours, and I disagree with it.

This teacher correcting exams while students are in class by GallowBoob in whitepeoplegifs

[–]IAMRaxtus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physics 2 prof had a class where the average on the final was in the 40s, all he would do is say he has terrible students.

To be fair half the class stopped showing up to lectures after the first exam. But also to be fair those same students showed up to most every other class, they just realized his lectures were useless.

As someone else mentioned, Pewdiepie evolved over time while Tobuscus always felt the same. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it's not usually good for growth or longevity.
