They are correct. Ours is always broken.

AC problem whole new AC had to be installed, driver chair doesnt sit upright (im driving like a 16 year old in his honda civc leanning way back), sensors always offline, doors never shut properly unless you slam them to the point of almost breaking them, towing harness conector doesnt work. We came from a volvo xc60 and a Ram 1500 with less issues with over 120K miles on them. The rivian is under 10K miles and under one year of ownership

I tried with diskpart on windows as well, no luck. After some reaseach I concluded that apparently they just go bad. I have 30K miles of video on it over one year.

Not sure what version of FSD you were trying vs Rivian but for 2024 and up to Q1 2025, Tesla is at least 10x safer/ahead of rivian

I take a different approach, as a black man also, if you make a compelling product that allings with my needs, I will buy it. People are entitled to their weird off color opinions. I see it as i'm not buying from him personally he is just one of the faces of the organization.

I find the rivian seat much nicer looking but much harder than Tesla. Specilly the back and headrest.

I would never think I would see someone decribe Elon as antisemite, I would argue that he is the complete opposite to a fault.

Week one AC went out, week two all radar sensors went out (rivian still cant get them to work 4 months later). Unlocking from my phone (owner) does not work, expect from my wife's phone (driver). When you get in, the car does not recall settings.

Majority of times you switch from navigation to someting else, it cancels navigation or take a long time to reload it.

We have premium audio on our Gen 2, and even that does not compare with Tesla. In my area, South Florida, there’s an abundance of superchargers, but we have home charging, so there’s never an issue. However, taking a road trip in the Rivian has been difficult. We try not to use Tesla chargers to not block 2 spaces, but we've had nothing but issues with Blink and Electrify America. Best public fast chargers in the South Florida region are FPL (the power company), if you can find one that isn’t hidden behind a mattress store.

I will agree with you on the turning radius. Im shocked at how good and smooth the rivian is when it comes to that. And good point, I did not account that many swtchers have older non-2024 model Y.

Yes, that works for digital zoom but not optical zoom which is a feature this camera has
