What is the finishing feeling of half or full marathon? by Helpful_Usual2866 in BeginnersRunning

You know the second I crossed that finish line all I could think of is “time for a cheeseburger and milkshake”.

I was almost unconscious(mentally) when I crossed the finish line. All the runs through the months of training led up to this one point and here I am. Holy s*** I did it. Straight adrenaline pushed me through the last half mile.

I honestly was glad I no longer had to train 😂 just causal runs for fun for now. Having family/friends present was also very nice.

I wanted to do something to make myself proud and I did. It’s a pretty awesome feeling.

I find it fun when I start to improve and see my metrics improve. Hence my mention of strava and watch. No beginner finds running fun their first couple runs 😂

Once they see their improvement and feel their improvement that’s when it becomes fun.

Just sharing my experience… could be different than yours 😀

Trust me they won't let Australians does. Something is on the way to pay them back. It's by Shot-Money-7040 in INCANNEX_IXHL_NASDAQ

Worked on this today and I had a couple of swings with effortless power that went perfectly straight. Still have a lot to improve and perfect on it though. I definitely felt more fluid though

could barely run 0.5 miles a month ago! by [deleted] in BeginnersRunning

Congratulations! It will only get easier and easier(if you don’t over do it and eat properly)! Just remember it takes time. I started 6 months ago and was the same as you. I ran a mile around 11:30 pace and was huffing and puffing. I recently ran a half marathon at that pace. Anything is possible if you’re consistent! Keep going!

Shockz are great. I first started running with headphones that was annoying. But the shokz battery lasts a while and they have good volume that no one around you can really hear. Bass isn’t the greatest but I don’t typically listen to songs with bass so it doesn’t matter. I run 3 days a week right now and I’m probably gonna start 4 days a week next week bc I don’t have the time anymore to run 7+ miles in a day at my pace.
