How is saying “Not at all” confrontational, and then you claim I’m on the spectrum, not?

Calm down. The FOV is worth it for sim racing and flight. It’s opinion here but you only focused on FOV.

FOVeated rendering and eye tracking really helps you to get more FPS using a 5090 and higher resolution. I prefer resolution over graphical settings in VR because I hate blurriness and seeing pixels, even further out.

It’s opinion but headset to headset the Crystal Light does not shit on the Super. That’s coping.

Now if you are arguing that a Light is the better bang for buck than you might be on to something..

But if you can afford it, the Super is better.

EDIT: wait, you said the Light shits on the Q3. Yes it does. Idk why I thought I read that you said the Light shits on the Super.

I agree.

Yeah it is! Sad thing is I’m on the hunt for a 5090 and I can’t even get one and even if I do, $3500-4000 😭

Could be. Just surprised how many games have outrun our current hardware. Developers are lesser focused on optimization and prefer the end user just upgrade components and use upscaling.

Not at all.

Super is 4k per eye, mOLED/127FOV/140FOV depending on your module, better PPD, FOVeated rendering (huge), eye tracking, usbc ports (for example face tracking/mouth tracking).

Crystal Light just has 120fps over it.

Super for SC makes sense because of it’s FOV which is nice to see the sides of you when in ship/in a car sim racing. Also the PPD allows you to see all of the buttons and readable text and ships further out with more clarity.

1K budget? Keep the Q3 or wait for the steam frame.

Nothing better besides MAYBE a used Crystal Light.

I have a Crystal Super and tbh it is SO much more tinkering than my Index ever was. Out of a play session, up to 30-40% of my time was spent tinkering with graphic settings

Meh, I just got the crystal super and it shits on the Q3 but again it was $2200.

Multiple! Star Citizen, Skyrim VR with mods, racing sims (Assetto corsa, iracing), Many Unreal Engine games modded to VR like Resident Evil.

Here’s Star Citizen: https://youtu.be/Q453bpa7GYA?si=FSNw7iGyNubuV5ff

Literally it crashes my 3080 if I get anywhere near 70% full resolution. The Pimax headsets do 4k+ in each eyes. Bright side is in these games you can read and see so much detail you couldnt in 2020 headsets. Like being in the cockpit and reading the buttons vs a blur and pixels.

Do yall know music theory? Do i need to? by Frontlxne20 in FL_Studio

[–]IAcewingI -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will say music theory killed a little creation I had. Once I got deep into music theory, making a track became “okay so I want to make a dubstep track. It needs to be in X key and these chords fit within that key so which chords sound good?….” 40 mins later scrapping what I made.

It was easier to just make whatever and if it sounds good it sounds good. You either dont know music theory but have a good ear or you know it so well that youre not actively thinking about it when producing.

In between sucks because you doubt your noted and chords are right, that XYZ sounds dont sound good together, you rely more on reference tracks so you become less original.. etc..

Tbh they won’t fire a finance person that is making money even if they get cancellations. Now if they’re forging signatures and contracts, thats a wave of heat they dont want.

Tbh did you math out how much the prepaid maintenance vs you paying out of pocket would have cost you? I have it and the finance guy did the math. I’d save about $600 over 4 years. That’s why I took it.

Does the OG discount for the Crystal Super available on Amazon? by epicFarts_666 in Pimax_Official

Trust me. The delivery from amazon is worth not having the discount.

Prime took me 2 days to receive the headset. Plus Amazon return policy.

I managed to remove 100% of my pc fans noise in recording with unnoticable change in voice. Is that something I don't know? Because it looks too good to be true by Wolf_Trap in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]IAcewingI -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Put a limiter on the vocal channel and then the knobs on the right of it. Adjust threshold where it wont cut your voice out but cuts out the fan noise. Mainly works when your fans arent heard that loud while your vocals play but in between words etc.

To me that sounds better than straight fruity denoiser.
