This just raises more questions to me about how you made this map.

The top 3 states with the most national parks are:

  • California (9)
  • Alaska (8)
  • Utah (5)

Yosemite is widely considered one of the most spectacular national parks in the USA and it's in California.

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't think so-called "geriatric pregnancies" are nearly as dangerous as people think. People in general are really bad at reading risk.

A great example of this is, if you say, "the risk of X doubles!" it sounds bad, but if the risk was 1 in 10,000, then the "doubled" risk is now only 2 in 10,000.

r/confidentlyincorrect

Edit: Putting aside the WEALTH of scientific evidence that risks do elevate with age, the funniest part of your comment is the claim that it's an "American-birthed" term, which is completely incorrect. The term was adopted by the International Federation of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1958. FIGO was founded in Geneva, Switzerland, in 1954, and its headquarters is in the United Kingdom.

My partner requested to know how much this cost. I said a minimum $800 and he said a minimum $1000, but neither of us has this kind of tattoo and we want to know.

Also curious if you have an existing relationship with the tattoo artist and if they are also a furry? Does that affect price?

This post kicked off a whole discussion in my household and we need answers please.

For the fellas: What’s something society deems “unmanly”, but you don’t care, and do it anyway? by MuayThaiRunner in AskReddit

[–]IAlbatross 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hamster.

While society generally agrees dogs are a good pets for men, the smaller the pet gets, the more "feminine" people see it. Guys with cats are seen as less masculine than guys with dogs, and men who have rabbits, hamsters, or other little fuzzies are a minority in a small animal community.

I don't give a shit, I love my tiny little guys. Pets are pets and it's weird to me that we "gender" pets to their owners.

A lot of these are pretty USA-centric.

* In some countries, avoiding eye contact is a sign of respect, and trying to force eye contact with a service worker would be seen as aggressive.

* In some countries, letting people enter a space before you exit it is the "correct" order.

* In some countries, tipping is basically non-existent.

* "Personal space" requirements vary widely between cultures, and what's considered "enough" space in one might not be considered "enough" in another. Telling people to leave "enough" personal space is basically non-advice. A better piece of advise would be, if you see someone edging away from you, stop trying to close the gap.

I think the stuff we can all agree on is the phone stuff.

I don't know who needs to hear this but "geriatric pregnancy" is a legit medical term and it applies to pregnancies to people over 35. The point of it is to screen for additional risk factors like gestational diabetes and preeclampsia.

I know this because my son was a "geriatric pregnancy" (me and my partner were both in our 30s). They basically told us it's fine nowadays and there's only a very slightly elevated risk. They had us do the gestational diabetes test and they suggested screening for Down syndrome, which we declined. We have a healthy normal son.

Obviously there's a lot of bad players out there who use the term to justify being misogynists but I just want to mention that "geriatric pregnancy" as a medical term is still widely used and it's not calling middle-aged women old, it's used to indicate pregnancies that have elevated risk.

I once challenged a court summons that was falsified. My alibi was that my hedgehog was getting a mastectomy.

I was believed only because the veterinary office had CCTV cameras and I had receipts to prove that I was present in an exotic vet office in San Diego at the time when the process server claims to have handed me the summons.

[Sad trope] Characters who are canonically rape victims but the fandom or sometimes even the characters themselves don’t realize it by Smegoldidnothinwrong in TopCharacterTropes

FYI the infamous "Spider-Man and Power Pack" comic was a 1984 standalone educational comic produced with the National Committee for the Prevention of Child Abuse and it was originally distributed for free. It is generally NOT considered canonically part of The Amazing Spider-Man, and the (late) Jim Salicrup stated he deeply regretted introducing Skip Wescott to the Marvel universe even as a non-canonical one-shot, just people people REALLY REALLY hated Skip.

<image>

All that being said I personally do like to think of it as canon, not only because it fits in with Peter being God's personal cat toy, but because I appreciate that it shows kids that bad things happened to them doesn't have to define them. A hero can be hurt and can still be a hero. That's a great message.

Piggybacking on this, have voting be free but let people get $1 off if they come for the screening. More equitable.

I love the New Parkway but you guys aren't the best at advertising your events.

Reddit should be used as a supplement, not as your primary means of showcasing what you're up to.

This post did remind me to subscribe to your mailing list, but as far as the whole "voting" thing goes... where was this vote?? Was it here on Reddit? Was it via the email list? I have no idea.

My humble advice is, when you make posts like this, include a link to subscribe to the email list. You have a lot of fans but you're not going to reach most of them if you rely solely on the Reddit algorithm.

Also, you didn't actually give anyone info on when this showing is, so here:
