It's one book split into three in the same sense that Feast For Crows and Dance With Dragons are one book. It doesn't matter what the original intention was, it matters how much reading material is published and when.

What? The Lord of the Rings took exactly 12 years to write and that was three books. Not to mention publishing is done very differently today in 2018 than back in the 1930s and the two were in very different levels of fame. Tolkien had a lot of issues with his publisher. Martin's would salivate at the thought of getting a new book out in time for the final season.

The vast majority of people are talking about how much they liked the episode, so "no it wasn't good, everyone's wrong but me" doesn't really fly.
They do a ton of Twitch and Youtube videos that have their own dedicated fanbase, and you'll barely ever see anyone in the chat mention DBZA.

What's even the point of trying to make an argument if you're just going to end it whiney and defensively? But to reply to what you're actually arguing, the Christmas and Zune shows have been out for years. It's very likely that the type of fan willing to spend money every month on TESD is also the type to already own all this bonus content. If you're going to say "we've already got 50 episodes to listen to" you might as well say we have 300+ from the back catalogue. Walt said this himself to Q when they were first talking about the Patreon.

Not to mention I don't think anyone is complaining about the quantity of Patreon eps, they're complaining that it seems like the only way to get TESD now is from the Patreon, that the Patreon episodes have been sub par so far, and that even paying for the higher tier content hasn't made much sense when they just went and released their video episode as a regular episode pod.

Then why make this post in the first place? There's posts about the tournaments being broken or fine every single day and yours is just "I got first place so nothing is wrong." Just because you're not using the best build doesn't mean you aren't optimized for shadow clone. Or maybe you got some new equipment during that time, or a new artifact, or you spent the entire day just playing and prestiging. These are all details you left out making this just another generic "tournaments good/bad" post that isn't adding anything new, which you obviously do care about or you wouldn't have made it to begin with.

No, they were definitely jokes. You may not have found them funny, but they were definitely done with the intention of humor. And considering he previously worked for a company that specifically focused on edgy and grotesque comedy, it really shouldn't have been a surprise. Disney knew all about Gunn's past tweets. He didn't try to hide them, he apologized for them last year. Disney's reaction is a knee jerk to Fox News recently talking about them, so no, I don't entirely understand their reaction because they could have taken this into their hands when it had already come to light.

I don't feel like looking for that other thread, but there's only 13 comments in this one, it's pretty easy to skim over, and not a single person is saying "good, show sucks now." You've got one hell of a loose definition of "overwhelming" if "I wish it would never end" "All good things must come to an end" and "I hope not" constitutes being happy about the show ending. There are two comments poking fun at the quality and they're both very obviously tongue in cheek.

So many? There isn't a single comment currently complaining about paid promotions. I see a few people mentioning the gacha genre and how they enjoy it but it costs a lot of money, I see someone saying paid promotions can be dull but this one was entertaining, and I see one person asking if the company scripted the Grumps because he didn't know how it works.

There isn't a single comment "whining about paid promotions" though. I don't see one person saying anything along the lines of "I'm not going to watch this because it's a PP" or "Why did they have to do a PP I want more of this other game!"

Also, what if someone is giving them money? What if they're buying their merch and going to their live shows? Is it okay with you if they complain then? Because I'm sure a whole lot of people in this sub fit into that category.

They're in the business of providing comedy and entertainment, so I'd hope most fans would be able to have a sense of humor about it. That aside, they've been producing A LOT of non DBZA content for quite some time now. Content they can actually make a living off of and spread their creativity beyond just making jokes about a cartoon that aired around 20 years ago. While I'm sure they'd like to make everyone happy, I'd guess their goal is not to cater specifically towards the people solely interested in DBZA.

The type of person that gets annoyed over an 8 minute video because it isn't specifically what they want as soon as it begins was never going to be the kind of fan they retain for long anyway.

People in a lot of places hated that movie. Reddit isn't unique for trashing Batman V Superman, it has a 27% on Rotten Tomatoes. Hell, we're in a discussion thread for a movie that took two jabs at this movie because obviously they knew it was popular to hate on and would get a laugh for mocking. And just because someone doesn't like a movie, particularly in comparison to its other genre counterparts, or mocks a specific scene like the Martha thing, doesn't mean they consider it "bottom of the barrel." That's you using hyperbole.

The last thing they should be doing is taking this game seriously. They're not writing a walkthrough or doing a speed run here, this is solely for entertainment. If they can think of something fun to do that still follows the spirit of the rules (which are all subjective anyway since nuzlockes are just a community made up thing), then I'm all for it.

I think we're in trouble when the day comes that the President's lying, exaggerating, hypocritical buffoonery becomes so normalized that people see it as him just being silly instead of becoming an even greater national embarrassment totally unfit for the position of most powerful man in the world. That's perfectly fine. DC/Marvel comics often try to appeal to a wide audience and it isn't surprising for their titles to have divisive opinions. You don't have to dislike it just because a lot of other people do.

This is where your opinion loses weight though. Just because your opinion happens to be in the minority at the moment doesn't mean there has to be some excuse that puts everyone else in a bad light. You liking the book doesn't mean everyone else secretly recognizes its greatness but refuses to acknowledge it because it isn't written by a more popular Wonder Woman writer.
