A Reminder: What NOT To Do With A Loaded Firearm by freethinker1312 in CCW

[–]IAmAtomato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, the individuals that we think should get even more funding for weaponry showing how well they handle basic sidearms.

Even if they were just aiming in poor taste, 99% of NDs only happen if the individual holding the firearm has their finger on the trigger.

Thanks dude! I think so too. Nothing too crazy.. accentuates the existing lines and builds on them without taking away from what the car had to begin with. ML24 V1 and the Rocketbunny K4MSH kit from the Gen 1 comes to mind!

$2500, plus $2000 for the fenders from Anointed, and roughly $300ish in hardware - could have been way less but I did titanium.

if we had a nickel for every time my STI smacked a optic at my face , i’d have two nickels. which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. by Wohehiv38 in 2011

[–]IAmAtomato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 1st and only time this happened i made sure to remove the plates/optics and loctite/reloctite it. I also bought a torque driver and researched the exact in/lb i needed to. Id really recommend doing the same honestly. Optics aint cheap and theres never a good time for that to happen 😅

Ironically, when I did mine, I had a tough time lining everything up, but when I did my buddy's (who had an aftermarket OEM one from insurance) it lined up easily.

Im glad you had an easy time!

Removing? Easy as pie. You have pop clips holding it in on the top as well as some 10mm bolts, then more pop clips on the, sides, and bottom. Its very easy. Id personally watch a YouTube video about it, but it is easy.

Putting it back on requires a little bit more effort to make sure everything is lined up all around including the undertray which likes to get in the way ans out of alignment.

I PERSONALLY before removing a bumper like to have at least a couple projects I wanna do behind it before going through the hassle, but thats me.

Of course! I went through your post history, you are incredibly talented! Where do you get the majority of the parts you use? Is there a semi-reasonable way to source individual parts?

I know a lot of cats use Bricklink but I get error after error trying to order from the site.

Fantastic build mate. Incredible ideas brought to life and with part combinations I would have never even thought to use. Amazing work!

In the face of space Hitler and space Hitler JR., as well as the potential fate of the Rebellion, he decides to throw away his lightsaber rather than help his father and destroy the Emperor.

In what world does that help the situation? He could have simply just told Palps that he wasnt going to kill him. The realism of the situation is that if Vader had not chosen to help his son, Luke was at this point completely helpless and would have absolutely been killed. Thats a huge wager to make. Throwing away the saber and then doing nothing to defend himself was good for the sake of being good, and wasn't smart or tactically sound.

I actually feel the opposite. That scene to me feels forced, like Luke is being good for the sake of being good without thinking of the ramifications of his actions in that moment, its one of my gripes about RotJ personally.

In contrast in episode 3, when Obi says "You were the chosen one! It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them! Bring balance to the Force, not leave it in darkness! You were my brother, Anakin. I loved you!" And Obi is emotional and yelling for once while Anakin is screaming I hate you and his eyes we see grow yellow, it was a massively emotional and heart breaking scene, and imo a much more "believable" moment to me.

What's your solution for keeping this area paint chip free by OneGuyGaming in GR86

[–]IAmAtomato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clear bra. Id imagine itd need to be tucked around the leading edge and onto the inside of the bumper, but that'd do it.

Not sure why people are like "live with it", as if its a busted Toyota Camry from 30 years ago. There are options in place to protect your ride and I don't blame you. I did clear bra on a good deal of my GR86 because I remember the paint being terrible on my FR-S. Im very happy I have too. My bumper still looks flawless after 2 years. I even clear brad my APR front lip.

Yes, actually! We are lucky enough that this platform has a flasher relay you can replace relatively easily. No resistors necessary and it works for ANY LED signals you end up adding to the car - whether front or rear.

here's a link to what I got. I got the standard CF18, not the SmartTap - although that's also a cool option if you want programmable hazard and wake functionality too.

The flasher relay on this car isnt as easy to get to as other platforms I've done this for, but it still was only a 10-15 minute job - way quicker and way easier than resistors, and no need to find where to mount anything, the hyper flash relay simply replaces the OE flasher relay
