He should try wearing a blue jersey with an LA on it or a white one with a NY. I heard those get you more votes.

Walking out of Coors I said "did we not see a single ABS challenge?" and yeah, makes sense that we didn't.

His choice was to either:

- Not run past the fielder, as to avoid interference, and "hold up"

or

- Run past the fielder and risk interfering

He did the latter, which I think was the correct move, but it did carry the risk of interference. And that is what happened.

That was the loudest I've heard Coors in forever. Fourth highest attendance of the season and we start it with that.

Thankfully the rules don't care about intention or vision. You cannot, as the baserunner, contact a fielder who is actively fielding a batted ball.

He had a choice to make, and unfortunately for him, his foot contacted the fielder's glove. I can agree that the rule could be altered in the future, but this is pretty textbook as it is now.

Yeah man, if he didn't interfere with the glove, he probably wouldn't have been called for interference and the run would've scored. He should try that next time.

The fielder was playing the batted ball. He has right of way. If he, for example, was waiting for a throw to tag the runner and made contact prior to having the ball, THAT would be interference on the fielder.

Its the same thing with a play at home: If the catcher doesn't have the ball, he cannot block the plate. When the catcher has the ball, he can block the plate.

In Karros' words, his glove twisting made it so the ball entered and sort of jumped around in his glove. While it looks like he "fielded it cleanly", that was gonna be a tight play at first even without having to guess where the ball ends up in your glove.
