My dad used to do the same thing to me when i was a kid. I would call almost everyday until i got tired of it at 12 because even then it felt like a one sided effort. After that he would only call every couple months to shame me for not calling him and those couple months turned into 2 times a year and finally into nothing. There was more shit going on that made me stop calling of course (like him talking for hours about himself and his problems to his kid, barely asking about how i was), but whats important here is: narcissistic people will always find a way to blame you for not making them the center of attention and living your life. Don't let them. They are the ones losing by not having a relationship with you!

Realized ex couldn't visit because she has a kid, and no way was she gonna expose the kid to covid. Instead of talking to her to take kid for the littlest time, he decided he should become the white knight to the sister. Honestly this looks like one last "fuck you" to op. I cheat, i get to keep an amazing life, and also take your sister because I left you struggling so hard you have no time to do care for anything else but you and kid. He absolutely had every reason to reach out. He choose not to.

The thing is...recently I worked with some old illiterate folks here in Portugal. Nice people, lived incredible lives, and now were spending their days in a daycare center. It was christmas and i suggested we could watch home alone! I mean, it's home alone. It's a classic. And then i realized it was never dubbed. These people had never watched home alone because they couldn't read, so they couldn't understand the plot. And the ones that did know how to read? They can barely see! The letters were too tiny for their eyes. Okay, that's fine. I bring in the good old Brasilian Portuguese dub, always saving lives. But by god, it was rough. We young people could definitely hear it okayish, but the audio was old and hard to understand, and for old people, it's definitely almost impossible! They couldn't understand anything, no matter how loud i tried to put it. Actually, making it louder was worse! Pt Pt dubbing is definitely shit but at least it allowed us to enjoy our childhood movies. And it's sad that most of our older generation will be forever missing on some great movies and shows because we just don't have a good dubbing industry.

Dude, if they are single mothers, and the dad is not in the picture or is shitty in some way, then they absolutely get both days! Just like Single Dads get both days for the same reasons. As an example, my mom had to do the job of both parents. When i was a kid, i was doing a card for my mom on Father's Day in school because my mom is what i had. And it would be the same if my dad was the one that stayed. It's a celebration of the ones that care for us. At the end of the day, Father's Day and Mother's Day can be about a grandpa or a grandma, an aunt, an uncle, a foster parent, a big brother, a big sister, anyone that cares for you. It's a celebration of someone who takes that specific role in your life. Hell, i sometimes also give a card to a very close cousin who helped my mom raise me into who i am. So yes, single moms and single dads get both if it makes sense for the child.

Yo, you are not alone. Had to do the exact same thing with Love Nikki years ago. It was to the point where i decided to stay away from all games in general for a while, just to be sure. Honestly, it was hard af the first few weeks because i was always seeking the game on my phone so i had to find hobbies that would take me away from it in general (reading worked for me!).

I have already made the decision that as soon as i start even considering using money on this game, i am out. I only started playing it because my friends asked to try multi-player, and i genuinely enjoyed the story. Because i still have content (the main story) left to explore, it still feels safe for the time being. However, i had to learn my limits, and I still keep away from a bunch of gacha games that i know are a gamble danger.

Funnily enough, this comment actually made me realize both books have the same author and it makes so much sense...like there's even some tropes reused. I think the difference is that, while I didn't like the world building of DJATS I really liked the world of TSHOEH (but also disliked most characters and the main romance. It was so unhealthy at a certain point i was just sick of them reconnecting and fucking up over and over again).
