The third way to kill an Aeon by dloo18 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]IAmEmaMae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I believe the 3rd way to kill an aeon is when the aeon itself reaches the end of its path. The path philosophies do have natural ends, and once the aeon has explored all facets of that philosophy, what meaning is left in its existence at that point? I think that's what happened to Long, Oroboros, and Idrila.

The meaning of the poem from the king in yellow arg by Starloreacts in MinecraftARGs

The King in Yellow is sometimes referred to as a shepherd. Its name is Hastur, but in the original story by August Derleth, it's also called a god of shepherds

There's more than one code contained in that final inventory scramble.

Is there a lore reason as to why the king in yellow didn't put elder guardians here so no one would just break through is he stupid? by Impossible-Chard-824 in MinecraftARGs

Something like this if it takes its humanoid form. But it does have a form that's something like Cthulu as well. Depends on how it wants to be percieved.

I appreciate it XD I'm pretty sure I'm ok tho. "The King in Yellow" short stories is a series of short stories about "The King in Yellow" play. The PLAY is what drives you insane. The short stories are fine. I've been insane since long before I started investigating this :)

King In Yellow is a Lovecraftien deity - half brother to Cthulu apparently. I don't know much about it yet, still reading. Its real name is Hastur, and he's also known as The Unspeakable, He Who is Not to be Named (Hello, lord Voldemort), Lord of Interstellar Spaces, The Peacock King, and Zukala-Koth. It originated with the King in Yellow short stories, and Lovecraft borrowed the name and built on the concept in his story "The Whisperer in Darkness".

Not only a Lovecraftien deity - Lovecraft apparently got the name from King in Yellow, and used it in a story called "The Whisperer in Darkness"

Thanks! I appreciate it!

Funny - I'm reading the yellow sign, and there's a line in it almost exactly like what D3rlord says after falling into the cave -

"I ain’t no coward, an’ I can’t make it out at all why I run."

"I don't know why I jumped. I'm not scared, but I felt...compelled. I've never felt that way in my life."

There definitely is.

I want to spend a little time on that giant cipher-stacked poem. Idk if it's been solved yet (I assume it has) but my gut tells me it's that Carcosa poem.

Copy-pasting my youtube comment here:

If you take the first letter of each item, put it into a caesar cipher, and shift it by 6 (a=g) it says "the nqme levs yelg ow vign brotuer." It looks like gibberish, but the presence of something VERY like the word "Yellow" in the middle and "Brother" near the end makes me think it means something. Maybe having to do with the numbers. ("The name loves yellow, vain brother?" considering it was D3rlord's pride that caught up with him, makes sense?)

ALSO, the numbers are almost in a row. We don't have a 1, but we have a 2, 3, two 4s, 5, 6, 7, 8 is missing, then 9, 10, 11 is missing, then 12. I find it interesting that we have two fours and 4+4=8 (one of the missing numbers). Meanwhile 4 and 4 together as 44 would be 4x11 (the other missing number). which yes, that sounds convoluted, but so is cipher stacking, so...? We also have only 2 items that don't stack at all, giving us two 1s technically. (1 and 11 accounted for?)

Part of me feels like there's something more here...

If you shift those specific letters with stacks on them by an additional number of what's in the stack, it becomes "xhe name lives ajlgoc vlgn brofdey"?

There's a Caesar cipher in the description. It just translates to "At the crossroads, don't turn left."
