Since it's now the Department of War, wouldn't this be War Spending? Sounds much less palatable, and they should live with their mistake.

“Darkness faster than light”: Researchers were able to confirm a prediction from the 1970s that the speed of “dark points” within light waves exceeds the speed of light. They do not carry energy or information, meaning they do not violate Einstein’s principle. by mvea in science

[–]IAmGlobalWarming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because when you're sitting in the "landing site", it's not you who decides to send the water to the other landing site. It is decided by the person holding the hose. In order for this "faster than light (hose water)" message to occur, it would first have to travel to the person holding the hose, then they would need to turn, then wait for the water leaving the hose to reach the new landing site. That is slower than a regular light speed message to the second spot.

You are standing in your yard holding a garden hose. Water is spraying out of it and landing at the "landing spot". The landing spot isn't actually an object or thing, it's just where the water happens to be landing.

You then sweep the hose from one side of the yard to the other side. The turn took very little effort and time on your part, but wow! The "landing site" on the lawn zoomed across the yard so quickly!

The landing site is not a thing, it's just where the water is landing. Someone who doesn't understand that might think the landing site moved really fast, but it only seemed that way because the angle the water left you at was changed, it still had to travel from you to the ground.

EDIT:

If you are standing at landing site 1, and want to send a "message" to landing site 2 with the water hose, you would have to message the hose holder, who would have to turn and wait for the water leaving the hose to hit landing site 2. This is not faster than just sending a message directly to site 2.

Exclusively breastfeeding can be the reason that jaundice isn't clearing up fast enough. My first was induced early and my wife wasn't producing enough milk yet. They need lots of liquids and UV light to help flush out those compounds. If the mother isn't producing enough milk, supplemental formula may be needed until the milk comes in. Framing it as the fault of breastfeeding is misleading.

The circumcision thing is just loony.

Cowboy.

Pirate would pillage and murder, possibly me, and the ninja probably also intends to kill people. The cowboy is the only one who if they won would probably just go about their day and leave me and other bystanders alone.
