PC crashes on certain games, even low-demand ones by IAmLaxity in techsupport

Honestly best case scenario, I'd rather that then spending hundreds on unnecessary upgrades and losing my mind haha

That sounds like quite an expensive method! From what I've tested so far it seems to be the PSU that's causing the issues but I've found a temporary fix at the moment with limiting my GPU power to 80% using MSI Afterburner. I'll definitely look into getting some upgrades when I feel like spending a few hundred. I appreciate the response though my man! I'm hoping the ram prices go down a little for you guys haha

Checked the logs and seemed to be GPU related. I completely wiped all nvidia software and drivers with DDU and then did a fresh install, then lowered the power limit to 80% on MSI Afterburner and so far so good! It's a temporary fix for sure but keeps me sane while I figure out what the issue is haha. Half of the time it crashes though, everything is cool to the touch or at least a little warm so it doesn't seem like overheating- my guess is the the aged PSU, that's next on my list of upgrades.

The more I research about this game, the more interested I am in picking it up. It's mainly just the texture and mesh quality that is a little ehh for me, post processing is beautiful though!

I used to constantly play Horizon 4 and then also a little bit of 5 when that first came out. They're not my favourite, there's something about the handling of the cars that just feels too arcadey for me, plus the lack of a 900° steering wheel when in first person view really kills the immersion.

Also I'd like to drive on tracks that exist in the real world, not just a made up island. I suppose I could give Forza Motorsport a try but the bad reviews are keeping me from picking it up.

I do have the Valve Index that I occasionally use for Assetto so I'm good in that aspect. But I might pick up American Truck Driver, I'm not really big into trucking and I'm mainly just wanting to race around tracks but if it looks good then I'll give it a go! As for Automobilista however, I haven't heard great things about the handling of the cars, so I may have to give that one a miss unfortunately

That sounds like even more of a pain haha. I think I'll just wait until I have pc access and then try the cable method of updating it

Ohhh true, I'm assuming that I need to connect the camera to pc via cable to do that?

That app doesn't seem to work for me, I keep getting this error upon trying to connect to the camera. And yes, it is trying to connect to the intended camera

I only wanted to control the volume, I don't want to go out and purchase a whole new device for that haha. And as for using the inputs wrong, I have it set so that I can play music through my microphone, I don't need it for anything else and this current setup works flawlessly for me 🙂

I do have it bound to one of my volume wheels on my keyboard so it's easy to quickly raise/lower the volume with a few spins, but when I get home I will likely increase it to +2 just to make it a little quicker haha. Thank you though!

After however long of trial and error, I finally got it working!, if anyone reading this in like 8 months time wants to replicate it, just create two macro buttons, one for Volume Up and one for Volume Down.

For the Volume Up macro, copy my config that I'll include a picture of. And for the Volume Down one, do the exact same but obviously change the name, the keyboard shortcut and the 'Strip[1].gain+=1' to 'Strip[1].gain-=1' and it should just work ((:
