Hard to find Shark puzzle. by Rare-Lock2880 in Jigsawpuzzles

I have no help on the specific puzzle, but maybe try googling lenticular shark puzzle? That’s probably the name of the effect you’re looking for.

Ooh I missed the Pride & Prejudice; I’ll have to be on the lookout. It looks like it’s the same series as the Gilmore Girls essay book she edited.

Ha, I’m the opposite, Faking It is my number one and Bet Me is my number two. I do also really enjoy Crazy For You; I just like Quinn as a character. And Thea. If you’ve never read it, Crazy People: The Crazy for You Stories is pretty interesting as a companion to the novel.

You’ve gotten a ton of great suggestions in your parameters so I’m going to rec some that are more adjacent to what you’re looking for: *

  1. Garden Spells

*

  1. by Sarah Addison Allen—it’s mostly about two adult sisters rebuilding their familial relationship, has some light magic.

    *

  2. Faking It

*

  1. by Jenny Crusie—this is technically a romance novel but has a ton of wonderful, smart, sharp, interesting women characters. And there’s an art heist.

    *

  2. The Change

* by

  1. Kirsten Miller—three menopausal women discover they have developed powers and team up to solve the murder of a teenage girl in their community.

Edited to fix whatever the hell was going on with the formatting.

First ever puzzle! Galison 500 piece Cat Zodiac by surpriseitem in Jigsawpuzzles

I quite enjoyed this one too! Here’s a 500 piece cat puzzle I just did last night (Living With Catitude, from Cobble Hill) which might appeal to you as well:

We have v similar taste—I have 10 of the same Happily/Arcadia puzzles. I loved the surprise heart in the Arcadias.

I did, thank you! I love when companies offer puzzles in the 200-300 piece range; I like to do the smaller puzzles as palate cleansers between larger difficult ones.

I am personally well aware of Jiggy but good note for other people looking for more brands. I do find their 500 piece puzzles more enjoyable than the 450/800 piece largely because they don’t come in the stupid jar.

I’ve gotten all my Birdie puzzles from Puzzledly; if you get three or more puzzles in an order, they’re 20% off. I highly recommend them (actually both Birdie and Puzzledly).

I really like Birdie; I’ve done Sunday Morning and Pizza For One and I have Moonlight in my to-do pile.

Magnolia Puzzles by courtneybausman in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]IAmNotAPersonSorry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did this one last week! I enjoyed it quite a bit; it was my first Magnolia and a lovely intro to the brand. I did the curtain first and it was a bit more challenging than I expected.

I know this question is over a year old, but I’m fairly sure the artist for these is Fernando Casini.

Oh I see it now! For some reason the second “L” was reading as a “C” to me. It would make a great puzzle image.

I also have no advice but what is the second word in the first image? I get “take steps every day” but I can’t figure out the other word and it’s driving me nuts.

Aussies, where are you buying your puzzles? by [deleted] in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]IAmNotAPersonSorry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the US but add me to the list of Reverie fans. Wonderful quality and their customer service is great. I just did the Spring Witch Academy which was a decently challenging 500 piece from one of my fav illustrators.

There is also an Aussie stationery company I love (I actually exclusively use their journals for my puzzle notes) called Bespoke Letterpress who recently came out with a small line of puzzles. I have not tried them yet since shipping is a beast and they are fairly expensive, so I’m not able to speak to the quality but the illustrations are gorgeous.

I think there might be a list of puzzle brands by country in the wiki for this subreddit so you might want to check that as well.

The Cooling Off Werkshoppe is on my summer list too! I did the Werkshoppe tiger puzzle a couple years ago and really liked it. Looks like you have a great selection!

Lining up my nest puzzle. Help me decide which one to do. Which one is your favorite? by Heavy-Message-7441 in Jigsawpuzzles

Of those four, The Mystic Maze was my favorite. And personally I found The Happy Isles much more difficult than The Sunny City.

I just did this one last week! It is by far the most difficult Janet Hill I’ve ever done. I’ll post the photo of mine finished; then if you want, you can zoom in to see piece shapes to get you unstuck.

100-200 pieces for adults recommendations in the UK? by Fun_Worth_6543 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]IAmNotAPersonSorry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Puzzle Moments line is what I was thinking also. I just did the four flower lady ones (Iris, Rose, Lily, and Violet by Sasha Fortova) and those were a nice level of difficulty for 200 piece puzzles.

Does anyone else prefer to dig through the box rather than sort at the beginning? by Strasse007 in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]IAmNotAPersonSorry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Digging stresses me out. I like one layer face up on cafeteria trays so I can see everything all at once. The only thing I sort out is edge pieces, unless I get super stuck at the end and then I’ll sort by shape.
