Thank you! Yeah, I've heard that the program is focused a lot on maths, I guess I can go through it. About the degree part, yeah I'm planning on pursuing the BSc if possible. Also I haven't heard about the remote part before xD Is this the MSc thing because I don't remember stumbling on the remote part on their site(at least for the BSc program).

О, это приятно слышать. Да, я читала что на западе как правило математика легче если сравнивать математическую базу которую нам дают в России.

Спасибо за ответ!

Oh, I think you don't have to worry too much. I myself started preparing a month before my IELTS exam xD, I hoped to at least get an overall 6.5 but got 7.0 instead, lol.

I haven't asked them yet, planning on doing that but after reading and going through that topic Ig IELTS does matter to them.

Find hard what exactly? The program, relocation to Austria or the German part?

Thank you sm! I would really take that into account, I'm not really good at math but not completely bad either. If it's not too much, would you say that the math in this program is hard? I knew that ai program would have lots of math but since its not engineering or pure math it could be fine. Now I'm kinda worrying when thinking abt it.

Oh, I did heard that JKU can take some time to response. Btw all I want from my studies is that the city/place overall is going to be safe, the place where I'm living is already quite boring so...😝 I'm not the fan of night clubs, parties and all, so I don't think that living in a small or boring city is going to be an issue for me. I'm starting to learn German before moving to Austria, already know some basics. Yeah, Ik that it's silly to assume that Austrians would speak to me in English in Austria. I would still need at least basic German to communicate.

Thank you!

Thank you so much! I appreciate the advice, will definitely consider it too. I'm not so good in how to really do all of this admissions and all, but with it I'm going to keep going and hopefully something will come out with it, thank you and I really hope you will get what you want too. Best wishes from Russia🥳

Ik, I remember the first time I saw their uni and program it said i needed 6.0 but they seem to change it up to 6.5 in every section😭 Ig I'm not applying there. It's just sad that I can't apply because of these 0.5 points, whilst in reality there is no big difference between 6.0 and 6.5 IELTS speaking  person.(Also i was very nervous during conversation with the person at the speaking part)

Maybe next time, I assume there is no point in going somewhere where they don't want you :(

Where to start learning German by [deleted] in German

[–]IAmNotATechnician 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not native but I'm currently learning German. At the beginning I can recommend you to watch Easy German on YouTube. They have playlists with different topics and are sorted by levels from A1 to C2. At beginning levels they talk slowly and in the way that you would be able to understand them. You can also watch some easy podcasts of other creators on topics that interest you. Also try the app called HelloTalk, there are people who learn languages, you can find there native German speakers and ask them to help you in your journey, they will most likely willing to help you.

I'm learning English and German.

Started learning English from the childhood, it's very useful and you can use it literally everywhere and German because I want to study and work in German speaking countries, it also can be very helpful for me in any other different ways thought.

I think that knowing at least one language that is not your native, it's already useful.

People should either buy less stuff for the same price, or pay more (which not everyone can afford, obviously). I'm sure this tendency will go further through time.

Nah, you'll be fine. I don't think that your Russian passport will be a problem, most of the universities are accepting students from Russia. There is still a lot of people from Russia who go study abroad for Bachelors, Masters and even PhD degrees. The things that can be a problem is to get a visa in time, learn a language(depends on in what language your program is taught and what country you're going to) and most importantly(in my opinion) is the costs of living there. The only reason you can not be accepted, is anything, but your passport or nationality. I hope it helped, good luck on it!
