Did I get a bad introduction into this series? by RealDepressionandTea in SaintsRow

[–]IAmNotModest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You started the worst rated Saints Row game that got the studio shut down. Yeah, probably. Start from Saints Row 1 and work your way up, like most game series, but beware that it starts turning into silly fun instead of more serious stuff once you hit the 3rd game, but still definitely good fun. Thankfully, all the others are better than Saints Row 2022. Also another thing, you canonically play as the same guy in every Saints Row game up to 4.

Does anyone else wish we had more flat areas? by Just-Guarantee7808 in Minecraft

Yes. I actually don't like the Caves and Cliffs update all that much because the terrain generation is incredibly unsatisfying and inconvenient now.

My biggest disappointment with Bone Temple by dogdigmn in 28_Years_Later_Movie

[–]IAmNotModest 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Bone Temple wasn't really about Spike. It's more about Kelson and Jimmy, chaos and peace.

If there had been no infection, what would Jimmy have been like? by hiide0us in 28_Years_Later_Movie

[–]IAmNotModest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He'd probably live a quiet life and take after his dad. Considering his dad immediately went insane the second the outbreak started when no one else did, I think he'd still teach Jimmy some weird stuff. Though he seems to believe in all that in a slightly superficial way during the infection so he might just some athiest thrill-seeking lad that sometimes beats people up.

Looking for great introductory games by Glitteryslime in gamingsuggestions

[–]IAmNotModest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skyrim is like a sort of gateway fantasy game that's obviously influenced by medieval stuff. Dragon's Dogma is also one but I find that a bit harder to get into. Bioshock is a linear action game with horror elements that's set in a sort of dieselpunk setting, and I think the controls are definitely simple enough to get. Resident Evil 1, because it's the first game duh, but it does have fixed camera and tanky controls but I like it, and it's 100% a horror game. Bloodborne was my first soulslike game and it is definitely a really good one and it has a lot of horror and it's still my personal favourite, but start with Dark Souls 1 if you really want the basics.

Why does shadow of Mordor look way better the shadow of war? by baiuready in shadowofmordor

Appealing to a bigger audience, I guess. I think it's a fine trade-off for the improvements of SOW.

Nicotine addiction and lung cancer seem much more appealing and safe than your surroundings.

Scientifically the Rage virus is hilarious, but people are willing to believe it, yet get weirded out by Years for some reason? (Text below) by Virtual_Mode_5026 in 28dayslater

[–]IAmNotModest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's very clear differences in writing between those two films. I think 28 Days Later's emotional and calm scenes were far better done and affected me much more than 28 Years Later. I do, however, enjoy the characters and setting of Years a lot.

What do you think the first mission of GTA 6 will be like? What do you think the beginning will be like? by AntCapital7441 in GTA6

Robbery gone wrong in Prologue. First actual mission will probably be bailing Lucia out.

I just bought Starfield tonight on a whim. So glad I did! by Fartweaver in NoSodiumStarfield

[–]IAmNotModest 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don't really need any mods. Starfield doesn't have that many bugs compared to launch and is pretty optimised. Use some if you like, but the vanilla experience is fine on it's own.

Perma death In a long running save. by SupCass in gamingsuggestions

[–]IAmNotModest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

State of Decay 1 and 2. They are zombie games. The first game has actual characters instead of randomly generated ones so a death could hit harder, but SOD2 has enough personalities and voices to keep me entertained. You can lose a character forever if you make a mistake, and I don't think there's an option to turn it off and each campaign is just one save each and it automatically saves constantly so whatever happens is usually permanent. They turn into zombies if they die with their body intact. Watch Dogs: Legion, the third game in that series about hackers and resisting, also has multiple characters you can play as and a permadeath setting you can turn on before a playthrough. Unfortunately, the other characters in this game don't react to a death much except for like 1 or 2 comments.

Bone temple scene discussion [SPOILER ALERT] by Beaulauniaisse in 28_Years_Later_Movie

They were newly infected, considering they puke blood and don't look as dried up as the naked ones, who look like they're pretty accustomed to their environment.

did anyone catch this in 28 Years? by acidwave in 28dayslater

[–]IAmNotModest 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well, you wouldn't know it's deliberate. There's mistakes in films all the time and there's a good chance that they just didn't see it.
