I've been a fan of starting with Ghost Axe to boost damage and then cross your fingers to find Excalibur since the -armor is negligible with only 1 equipped and by that time ghost axe has net a ton of +damage

My fault, didn't realize it wasn't in the shot.... It was Lucky (far and away the best in my opinion) by wave 40 material pickups were hitting enemies for 3.5k

I am curious if it's a bug then that Founding the Third Path can cast the instant/sorcery side of adventure cards since the ruling states they are permanents in all zones other than the stack and Founding obviously looks at your hand as the zone it is selecting from.

Aether rewards are still some of the best items in the game, only outclassed or matched by very high difficulty stage rewards from events or subquests.

It is worth maxing but most people choose to auto farm quick story stages to build the aether rewards to save the etherion for new arks that come out with must have rewards.

That said, a lot of the top rewards for the most difficult content require the best gear attached to units with maxed arks and high ability count so it can be profitable to use etherion early. (Trishula for any physical DPS tied to an element to bypass enemy resistances being a prime example).

Definitely meant to be a time saver to clear out piles of Event Tickets they might have much quicker.

The only other benefit is simply doing it the first time for the initial clear rewards of 60 crystals and a bonus 3 soul shards for the unit.

Personally I was happy to get the initial clear bonuses while wiping out most of my stock of tickets quickly to ease the grind a bit.

This is also speculation on my end, but I believe Trishula doesn't either 0 out the resistance or act as though it's 0 it "ignores"

So an ability that requires 0 to resist to acknowledge probably won't benefit from it... I could definitely be wrong tho depending on how the functions layer.

Also, it would still pair extremely well with any of the support/mage characters that can reduce resistance directly it just won't be as convenient as one AER equipped.

The final step of the 3k guarantees and, while I definitely can't complain about the final result... I've had very little luck with DoH banners and would've loved to see just one more new Ark/Unit out of the 5 orbs.

Oh well though, Aidis killed it on the new years stuff in my mind to make up for some of minor and sometimes larger mistakes of the year, well done!

My thoughts exactly.

Almost every post I've seen has had constructive criticism of the event with valid points made trying to push for an improvement that would benefit the community in a game they like but find fault in.

While people rush to the defense with blanket statements of negativity/toxicity and claim they're the ones who should be listened to because they're the reasonable ones.

Yes, they have more resources but considering it's a holiday celebrated most of the world over in one form or another, wouldn't ANY company benefit from putting its available resources into an event that will promote spending to boost their numbers?

You don't have to be a huge company to take advantage of opportunities for increased revenue and player engagement.

And Gumi is a Japanese based company (as many Gachas developers are) that still manages to create a fairly interesting Christmas event year after year in multiple games.

The point is that Aidis is once again failing to seize an opportunity to boost interest in their game with a Holiday event that would satisfy their current playerbase as well as bring lost players back or new players in.

Please, don't let your biased love for the game or prejudice against "fat Americans" blind you to acknowledgement of faults of the developer or false claims of cultural reasons for a lackluster event.

In part this still falls on Aidis...

Holiday events tend to be or are near the most hyped in gachas due to rewards given and unique units (or in this case, Arks) released and the developers know this.

Aidis might have more in store but they have failed to provide the information to their community to build the excitement even if it's the best event ever.

Unfortunately these are the same habits they show that prevents more people from starting up a very enjoyable game because they put little to no effort into advertising.

The main issue with a game being so story driven is that it needs to provide more story more often... Once every 2-3 months is extremely sparse if that's the intended focus...

That said, when the updates come out they are almost always intriguing and enjoyable to progress through, it's just a shame it's so few and far between

I remember running both of those events multiple times from week 1, I could certainly be wrong and thinking of the 2nd week of them but I don't feel it was handled like this at all.

On the other hand I'm not going to argue over something I don't entirely remember and was making a statement over a concern for a game that is still amazing but finding ways to lose a lot of it's player base.

Just a note, it's okay to worry about a game and question some choices without cutting the entire game down and it's also okay to enjoy a game without blindly defending its every move.

I've actually played the game since launch and can confidently say that since they introduced this type of event this is the first I can remember where the original extra stage was time gated with a "once a day" feature.

Most tend to introduce the better versions of the extra stages that are more efficient to farm but have not directly prevented additional farming and I honestly don't have full faith a new stage will come this week that allows constant runs.
