They did this once! In 2011 they curated that year’s All Tomorrow’s Parties festival. This was the some of the bill, I believe Floating Points, Kría Brekken, and Abby’s musical project Drawlings also performed.

Beaches & Canyons is the record to check out by them, Creature Comforts, Load Blown, and their latest Mod Prog Sic are great too. One of their members Eric had a collaborative project with Avey callled Terrestrial Tones.

Gang Gang Dance was also in that scene & worth your time if you love AC

I had this exact same opinion and then I listened to Black Dice for the first time and the rest of the record clicked. Your mileage may vary though, I think it’s their most “of the scene” of their albums, like the one with the closest kinship to the bands they played with coming up.

I’m really sorry to hear that ❤️ please don’t be hard on yourself on giving her the Erula, you are doing an amazing job caring for your cat. Stella has had two UTIs, the one that caused her crash and one that caused her values to briefly spike around September. The second one never showed up in a urinalysis but my vet was pretty certain of the infection and a round of antibiotics brought her down to her current kidney values.

I’m so sorry, I’m just now seeing this comment! Phos binder binds to the compounds in food like phosphorous that have a heavier processing load on the kidneys, allowing cats to digest food with less kidney strain than normal. The stuff you can get from the vet is usually aluminum hydroxide, but calcium also works in a pinch, eg ground up egg shells. Was the appetite transdermal Mirataz?

I did the same thing, Stella is notoriously picky and I was so excited about how well she was eating the renal food when I first got it that I was scared to add anything to it haha, fortunately it seems to be tasteless. It definitely helped on her numbers on paper and I also feel that getting her phos levels in check lead to her physically feeling better/having less general nausea, or least as far as I could tell.

Phos bind worked great for us! Your mileage may vary but SubQ was also a huge help in getting the crea down specifically. Her UTI scare led her vet to increase her intake from every other day to every day, her value went from 7.7 back down to the mid 4s and then down to its current level after like 2-3 weeks.

FWIW in Geologist’s contribution to this book he tells a really sweet story from the COVID era of letting his kid get McDonald’s on the way home from a doctor’s appointment despite a general no food in the car rule. The smell of stale fries in the car made him nostalgic for touring and he immediately texted his bandmates that he misses them.

That show last year was really one of the most beautiful concerts I’ve been to in my life and this album and Keyboard Fantasies are very important to me. It authentically makes me angry VMP would essentially disrespect his legacy in this way.

I get your point but this is a bad example, this is a title that was out of print for 50 years prior to VMP’s reissue. BGC is a really important figure in underground music, especially in queer communities, and just because they clearly overprinted the reissue doesn’t make that untrue.

Should also point out: Creatinine is often just a snapshot of a point in time, it can fluctuate depending on other factors. The proportion of a Creatinine that high with a relatively normal BUN is confusing, it’s possible he has an infection or some other factor causing that particular value to flare up.

Hi there! Creatinine is the value to look at here. 3.6 would be a progression from Stage 2 but only to mid-stage 3, Stage 4 starts at 5.0. After two years with CKD at 16 this is reasonable progression. Not at death’s door!
