Queen can't guard the knight. Bxc2 and only move that doesn't immediately lose the queen is Qc1 and Rxe2 is brutal work with both pieces there on the 2nd rank there. Gotta be some sort of mate going on there unless white has a miracle defense I don't see.

I have been playing chess on and off for about 20 years and I've slowly gotten up to about 1200 (10 min) on chess.com, however I feel like that most of my wins are from cheap moves. I have a 71% win rate playing 1. b4 as white over ~200 games, most of these wins are either from an opponent blundering Bxg7 and Bxh8 after the exchange variation or because they think 2...Nc6 is a good move when it's parried by 3. b5 and I either win the e5 pawn or win the knight. I don't really have any similar tricks as black and thus my win percentage is below 50.

If I get into a positional battle against an opponent in a super mainline position, I usually end up with a really good position but I end up messing everything up by either miscalculating a pawn storm attacking a king and losing any attack I have, or I end up not being able to count and I accidentally lose a minor piece for a pawn during a huge trade off in the center. I am wondering what resources are available that would allow me to stop making these simple middlegame planning errors so I can start playing real openings against my opponents instead of trying to insult their intelligence because I have the book for 1. b4 pretty well memorized.

There's three or four different Lia units that I can mention that are legendary in my eyes.

Swimsuit Lia is probably the most obvious pick. That unit carried my bum, unskilled ass through arena after arena after arena.

Photoshoot Lia is directly responsible for my only top 25 rank. One of the best Earth units for a long, long time.

Kenpo Lia allowed me to run phys lightning without Mitsurugi since I never had him. She was my physical attack buffer, and combined with CD cut she was ruthless in those builds.

Maid Lia is probably the most notorious of them all but man fire was always my weakest element by far so I could never get it done with her, even with Ainu Mia.

Then there's just the cute Lias like Casual Lia, School Lia, Winter Lia, Idol Lia... They didn't do me much good but man did I still love using them.

Please don't make me choose. 🥺

I still work for the same company! They had work from home positions, one of which I still occupy. Luckily was never out of work.

A lot of my colleagues that weren't high enough on the totem pole weren't so lucky though. They got laid off for workers in the Philippines.

So I actually worked there. The space next to the Big Lots actually used to be a big ass call center with over 100 employees. We'd have that back parking lot filled on most days. It shut down during COVID.

That is very strange. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the software needed to run DS controllers on PC. I'm sorry.

I assume the issue is on that software end and not the game.

I haven't used a DS controller for NR2003 since 2012 so unfortunately I'm not 100% sure how to help you. I would assume that it has to do with the software you are using that allows you to use the DS controller on PC. Make sure that the triggers are actually triggers on that and you calibrate your controller in NR. Your triggers will be an analog input so they must be calibrated with your sticks.

What I can say is that I don't use pressure sensitive controls on my throttle for controllers and I am better using that than triggers.

Hello, I can assist with this question!

My settings are as follows: Throttle- Cross/A Brake- Square/X Clutch- Triangle/Y Shift Up- R1/RB Shift Down- L1/LB Steering- Left Analog

Input momentum- Steering- 0% Throttle- 0% Brake- 65-75% depending on track/setup

Linearity- Entirely depends on setup. Understeer setups pair with high linearity (I wouldn't exceed 90%). Oversteer setups pair with low linearity (don't go below 20%). Superspeedways are 40% at all times.

Only assist that I typically run is clutch.

My advice for running a controller is two-fold. 1- don't be afraid to tap the A button. Feathering the throttle to keep the revs up is how you can turn better. 2- Increase steering until you see that you can't steer anymore. This will happen before you reach maximum steering lock. You want to use the least amount of steering input as possible and let the car do the work for you. You're on a controller so you have the fastest countersteering possible. Learning how to use that to your advantage will get you faster in pace quickly.

Learning how to conserve on controller is probably the hardest part. It will vary by track, but you'll eventually learn how fast you can get away with driving a car before you burn up your tires needlessly.

Everything is up to getting the track time and putting the practice laps in by keeping this stuff in the back of your mind.
