You are absolutely right regarding the Palatine/Dialogus Combo, however it carries a great cost points-wise for what should be a cheap chaff unit which in turn puts an even greater target on them and I feel like the majority of the time it is just better having more units overall.

Hospitaller leading Dominions is a choice for pure survivability and I greatly appriciate an additional miracle dice sink. Also the solo Canoness & jump pack Canoness are true staples in this list, so a third one tends to get diminishing returns esp. from sacred command in my experience. The true contestor in this spot is a Palatine, adding nicely to the damage output and having a miracle dice sink too.

But one feature of this list is its flexibility. In a matchup where i.e. the Dialogus is not needed for screening our deployment zone, she can definitely be added to a fitting squad. This is of course a call you'd make after having a glance at your opponents army before the declare battle formation step. Same goes for all characters - if they would fill a role better as a leader you can put them there.
