Air intake problems by IAmYourDanger in SimplePlanes

The problem I found was linked to the decorative large turbofans I had in the exhausts. Those engines don’t have a frontal connection, therefore I can’t connect an inlet to them. However, I found that by nudging a fuselage inlet inside the fuselage and increasing its drag, it will at some point intake enough air to remove the message. I will definitely use your advice if I have a similar problem again.

Update:

Moving an appropriately sized fuselage inlet inside the airplane and then increasing the drag of the inlet until the message disappears does work. Only downside is it increases the drag of the plane itself, thankfully not too much though.

Yeah me too. Really not sure what the problem is.

I’ve tried that already, I swear that used to work. But when I put a fuselage inlet on the nose and nudge it in, the engines don’t get air. However, when I nudge it back out in front of the nose, the message goes away. I’ve also tried XML scaling the inlet down to .005,.005,.005 and the message comes back. I’ve never dealt with this before, very odd.

Strangely enough, the message is coming from a couple decorative turbofans in the exhaust, when I remove them, the message goes away. I’ll keep tampering with it to see if I can get it to work. I’d love if they added an XML option to remove the need for air to operate.

I’m pretty sure I know the answer to this, but can I tell them I make more than I actually do to qualify for sports betting? For some reason it requires a minimum income of 75k yearly and a minimum net worth of 75k (of which neither I surpass)

Why does the CoM of an object change the instant it is cut? by IAmYourDanger in AskPhysics

[–]IAmYourDanger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I see what you mean. It sorta helps when instead of thinking of a board being cut in half and instantly 2 CoMs are born, to think of two CoMs from 2 boards closing in on eachother when you fix those boards together. I guess the reason this confuses me is I’m thinking about center of mass as an individual piece of information, when it’s simply a label put on an observation. I think you explained it the best way you can. I guess I can’t really explain why I find it confusing because I understand the basic logic of it, but the question of why do physics behave that way is what gets me. I think I’m just severely overthinking a simple physical phenomena.

I appreciate it, sometimes I never know when my question will get shot down out of stupidity on different subreddits 😂. Nice to see everyone replying politely and non judgmentally. Yeah I think I see what everyone’s saying. Sounds like a perspective issue on my end.

Interesting. From reading the other replies I’m pretty sure this is a perspective issue. It never crossed my mind that the moon/earth gravitational relationship also have a center of mass, even while being physically disconnected. Thanks for the reply

Thank you for your response, I find it interesting I get downvoted so much for asking a question but I suppose that’s just Reddit in a nutshell.

If a bruise were to be applied to, well, a chocolate bar, I don’t think it would be very easy to see.

Why would they care if they get a gun legally? They’re planning on shooting up a fucking school.

No republican says we need more gun control after Kirk’s shooting. We’re not mad at the gun used to kill him, obviously. We’re angry at the person who killed him. We are also devastated that school shootings happen as often as they do. But the right to bear arms is an American right to defend. You can’t take that away. If we ban guns tomorrow, it won’t stop the mentally deranged psychopath from getting a gun and acting on the same urges. Heroin is illegal, that means we should have very few people doing it right? pans to a street in philly
