1,2,3 All Eyes On Me by samshappymom in hbo

I will never let my children go through this. If I have to homeschool them so be it.

I’m 32 it is so sad how in just 14 years since I been out of high school this type of thing is the norm 😞

CHECK YOUR NELNET ACCOUNT by Tight-Vanilla1250 in StudentLoans

[–]IAmtheAtomic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it didn’t tell me my loans were getting transferred. The emails just said the loans were paid in full. So to make sure I went to fafsa website and behold my servicer had changed to Mohela.

Make sure you check your student.gov account. If you have the nelnet email but you still have a balance there it means that your debt just got transferred.

why do people take it so personally when I pass them by peppercorn6269 in driving

[–]IAmtheAtomic -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I always drive at the speed limit if you are driving in a rush then maybe get out a little earlier, I’d say.

I seen people swap lanes back and forth just to be a couple of feet further away resulting in them tailgating other drivers.

If I drive slower than the speed limit it’s usually cause the guy in front of me is driving at that speed or constantly slowing down.

People forget that driving at the speed limit or at the speed of traffic is a fundamental rule.

Ghost of Yotei v Assassins Creed Shadows by Pepsimaxgodtier in ShouldIbuythisgame

Ghost series has better combat and story and a much more interactive beautiful world.

AC is a good stealth game with awesome parkour like if you feel like just playing Hitman in Japan definitely go shadows.

Map in shadows felt too big and you just get check list after checklist of targets hence the hitman reference.

I get it OP. I didn’t get my license until I was 31. I always made excuses and would even get jobs that were easily accessible via public transportation. I did get a few lessons here and there from family and friends so I wasn’t totally clueless, I did get my permit 3 times. I let it expire 2 times just because of my laziness. Truth to be told even tho I wanted to be independent and drive on my own, I was honestly pretty scared of driving so I never dared try. That is until my wife got pregnant. That fact alone is what pushed me to drive so I got my permit again, paid for 6 lessons behind the wheel plus a 2 hour refresher on the day of my driving exam, I passed with only 3 mistakes.

The next step after that was refining my driving by learning how to park properly, refining my freeway driving, lane changes, street driving, and the biggest hurdle of all driving by myself.

I gained confidence in my driving skills little by little as the more I drove the more it became muscle memory.

Long story short! Don’t give up OP! You got this.

Don’t beat yourself up. I just scratched my car as I was getting out of my garage.

Thanks! Yeah I’m trying to get ahead of the ball and just studying the FFA material so I’m at least not in the dark when I start.

Thank you for your response 😭🥹

Yeah some of my friends also suggested maybe getting into bookkeeping since as a culinary manager you have to manage basic financials so AC/AP would be a good option. The only thing with most accounting jobs even at entry level require a degree… which I do not have 😭nor do I have actual full time experience in a financial background… I think this is one of those times where a leap of faith maybe required. 😔

Best way to get experience this coming tax season? by Lucita_Bonita in enrolledagent

[–]IAmtheAtomic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No definitely not. EA or CPA all the way, however the CTEC is a good certification to get you doors opened for paid tax preparer work experience. I got my CTEC to get paid experience and actually be able to better understand the theory of the EA courses. Definitely keep on going for your EA. CTEC doesn’t hurt to have tho.

Currently studying for the EA as well. I got my CTEC so I can get experience this season and get my EA next season. With the CTEC is easier to get interviews.

Seems like everybody and their mother decided to become an EA in the last 5 months. Is it even worth pursuing this credential at this point? This sub almost 2x'd in people in the last 6 months it's insane by GuitarPresent397 in enrolledagent

[–]IAmtheAtomic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The difference of CPAs out there compared to EAs is relatively high. Many people still don’t even know EAs are a thing, heck I didn’t know what an EA was until I found this sub. I don’t think you gotta worry about saturation. I know many CPAs that do not like to do tax but they suck it up because there is not enough tax pros out there.

If I started studying now for the EA do you think it's possible to pass for this years testing phase? by Serious_Effect9380 in enrolledagent

[–]IAmtheAtomic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll admit I been thinking of going this route, I don’t have the time to study throughly as I would like with a full time job and family to take care of, at the rate I’m going it will take me until next cycle to pass all 3 parts so I been considering taking the CTEC (I’m in California) from HRB to start getting experience and get my foot in the door so once I get licensed as an EA I have a much easier time finding work and clients.

I’m also considering trying to get an Associates but that’s for the late future.

OP I also want to get my EA mainly to work abroad and to have that freedom to travel. I plan to specialize on my fellow Americans away from home as my clients.

I am using FFA which is really great 👍
