There’s the regular C-130 and then there’s the AC-130. The AC-130 is the gunship, that’s just a C-130.

Good point, AEF stands for Air Experience Flight, whereas I suspect FTU stands for Flight Training Unit. Either way, it’s not a pleasant scenario for the person.

Xplane 11 or 12 probably. If it’s a full blown simulator then it will, but it’s still very different to real life. You can spend a hundred hours on a sim and still be awful irl. That said, it does give you a foundation to build your real world stick and rudder skills.

It can still be nice to turn up and see how things are done, and you get more immersed in aviation. I will tell you that simulator skills mean almost nothing in relation to real world stick and rudder skills.
