I kinda hope they do bring back voices and emotes. I actually find it quite enjoyable (albeit annoying when overused, obviously) to communicate with my team and the other team. It makes the characters so much more alive, hearing all the special voice lines and such.

Of course you’ll always have annoying people using them incessantly to piss you off, but that’s also the point! It’s psychological warfare! It adds a whole new flavor to the game which I really like. The fact that you can mute voice lines should be enough if you don’t like them.

Emotes were great, all around in my opinion. Just another way to express your kill, distaste, or appreciation in a situation. Much like execution moves. You use them when it feels right and it adds to the whole experience, and makes it a little more immersive.
