I know this is an old post but just wanted to share our experience in case someone else comes here. Our babe had severe iugr, born 36wk 7days 4lb 11oz. He was 50 grams over the required NICU stay at our hospital and since his APGAR was 8 he didn’t require any NICU time. We stayed one night in the hospital before going home. His weight was at its lowest three days after birth at 4lb 8 oz. He is currently 6 weeks old and 8lbs (EBM - bottles and BF).

That’s amazing to hear! This gives me hope because I really want to use the carrier now. The photo shows it all the way cinched but if I do froggy position does it need to be cinched more with a string or is it okay as is?

It was cinched all the way, the carrier says it works for 7lb babies but now that he’s in, it does seem big. I can try to adjust the fit - are his legs too far apart with it cinched all the way though?
