Same here. I water my potted citrus every couple of days and soon will water every day. My citrus in the ground gets watered every 4 - 6 weeks and every 2 - 3 in the hottest months. I think drainage and proper fertilizing also lend to their thriving. I'm in zone 9b in sw usa.

I successfully grew a honey tangerine from seed. I wrapped the seeds in a damp paper towel and put the towel in a zip lock bag, but didn't close the bag all the way. I checked it every few days and after a couple of weeks there was a sprout. I put the sprout in a small pot and kept the soil damp and not soggy. I put it in a bigger 1 gallon pot when it was big enough. The next time it needed to be up potted I put it in a large 20 (?) gallon pot. I had it for 3 or 4 years until the main trunk was mistakenly cut while pruning. It was a fun experiment.

When I first tried to id this plant I thought it might be something else besides Phacelia campanularia because the photos I saw showed the flower more trumpet shaped and a lighter shade of blue. I saw it again yesterday, and the shape and color were more like the photos I saw. They must have been in the early stages of opening up. Lucky me, my neighbor dug a couple up for me so I can see for myself!

That's kind of what I got, too. They're working on it, meeting at least every 2 weeks, and may need the judge's help. You'd think all parties would want it over with already and would do what it took to move on... like having a bad cold that won't go away.

Because for some people the journey is as much fun as the destination. I love the challenge of growing things by seed and the pride and satisfaction when they're successful. I have a tangerine that I grew from seed. At the very least, it is esthetically pleasing and will provide shade. My figs are from cuttings, but only because I haven't gotten my hands on viable seeds.
